Touching program "The Fatherland appreciates"

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 / July 27, 2025), implementing the direction of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, on the evening of July 16, at the National Martyrs Cemetery on Road 9 (Quang Tri province), the Army Radio and Television Center coordinated with the Command of Military Region 4 and the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to organize the program "The Fatherland honors" with the theme

The program "The Fatherland's Gratitude" is an annual activity co-organized by the Military Radio and Television Center on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day. In 2025, the program was held at the National Martyrs Cemetery on Road 9, the resting place of more than 10,800 heroic martyrs, to express gratitude and honor the great contributions of generations of fathers and brothers who fought and sacrificed for the revolutionary cause of the Party, for national independence, the happiness of the people and fulfilled noble international obligations. Through the program, it contributes to widely propagating the tradition of patriotism, the morality of "drinking water, remembering its source", the noble gesture of "repaying gratitude" of the Vietnamese people.

The organizers of the program "The Fatherland honors" and delegates offered flowers and incense to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs.

The opening ceremony of the program was a solemn and respectful incense offering and candle lighting ceremony. In the echoes of the sacred spirit of the mountains and rivers, thousands of candles and incense sticks were lit on the graves as a deep gratitude of today's generation to the heroic martyrs.

Next, the delegates and audience attending the program truly felt the emotions of respect and gratitude when immersing themselves in the unique artistic space. Interspersed between the artistic performances by artists and singers were emotional conversations between the exchange guests who were historical witnesses, outstanding officers and soldiers currently working at a number of agencies and units in the entire army and representatives of the younger generation.

Each story and memory shared at the program is not only a tribute to and gratitude for the heroic martyrs' contributions, but also a reminder for today's generation to always cherish the value of peace , freedom, independence, and live up to the noble sacrifices and great contributions of the previous generations.

Skyline group, singer Huyen Trang and journalist Ngo Ba Luc presented reconstructed portraits of martyrs and gifts to the martyrs' relatives.

At the program, the Organizing Committee and accompanying units presented many practical and meaningful gifts to relatives of martyrs, policy families, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Agent Orange victims, the Martyr Remains Collection Team of Division 968 (Military Region 4) and the Management Board of the National Martyrs Cemetery on Road 9.
