Previously, the authorities found three victims who had all died. Currently, Lam Dong province leaders and the provincial police are carrying out the required procedures.

The dispatch stated that on July 29-30, Lam Dong province experienced moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain. The total rainfall from 8:00 p.m. on July 29 to 3:00 p.m. on July 30 reached 40-70 mm. In particular, at Bao Loc Pass, the rainfall exceeding 190 mm caused many landslides, rocks and trees falling onto the road, causing serious traffic jams in both directions, and many vehicles damaged.
At about 2:30 p.m. on July 30, when officers and soldiers of the Madaguoi Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province Police) were performing patrol and control duties and were ordered to return to the Bao Loc Pass Traffic Police Station, a large amount of rock and soil suddenly fell down, burying 3 officers and 1 civilian.
To urgently search and rescue and overcome the consequences of the landslide, while ensuring the safety of the people, the Office of the Ministry of Public Security requests the Command Committees of the Police Departments of units and localities to continue to strictly implement the Official Dispatch No. 04 of the Ministry of Public Security on proactively preventing and combating landslides, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property during the rainy and flood season.
The Office of the Ministry of Public Security requested units to carry out a number of key tasks, assigning Lam Dong Provincial Police to preside, resolutely and urgently race against time to search and rescue. At the same time, mobilize forces and means of the People's Public Security force to coordinate with local authorities to urgently deploy measures to search, rescue and rescue victims buried in rocks and soil and quickly overcome the consequences of the above-mentioned landslide. Organize treatment for the injured, visit, encourage and support families of police officers and soldiers who suffered losses, especially families with affected members.
The Office of the Ministry of Public Security also requested the Lam Dong Provincial Police to arrange forces and means to closely coordinate with branches and forces at the grassroots level to proactively review, inspect, and promptly detect areas at risk of landslides when heavy rains last for a long time, especially residential areas, schools, agency headquarters, barracks, construction sites, and mines to proactively evacuate and relocate. Have plans to ensure the safety of people's lives and property, ensure security and order, arrange forces to guide traffic, strictly control travel through overflow tunnels, deep flooded areas, and fast-flowing water, and ensure smooth traffic on main traffic routes when floods occur.
The Office of the Ministry of Public Security requests the Police of neighboring localities such as Dak Nong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai and Binh Thuan... to proactively prepare plans and solutions to respond to natural disasters, especially when heavy rain causes flash floods and landslides. The functional units of the Ministry are ready with forces, means, materials and funds to promptly support when requested.
At the same time, organize well the propaganda and mobilization work, guide people on measures to respond to floods and storms; promptly inform about the situation and images, activities of the People's Public Security force in preventing and fighting natural disasters. Organize well the work of on-duty and command duty, ensure the number of troops ready to deploy tasks to ensure security, order and prevent and fight natural disasters.
