400 athletes to attend the 9th Northern Chess Championship in 2025

VHO - From September 11-14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang coordinated with the Vietnam Chess Federation to organize the 9th Northern Chess Championship in 2025, with the participation of about 400 athletes from provinces and cities in the Northern region.

Accordingly, the 9th Northern Chess Championship in 2025 will take place at the Training and Competition House, Cao Bang Provincial Sports and Arts Training and Competition Center, Group 30, Nung Tri Cao Ward, Cao Bang Province. The opening ceremony will take place at 8:00 a.m. on September 13, the official matches will be from September 13 to 14, and the closing ceremony will be on the afternoon of September 14.

The tournament is expected to attract about 400 athletes to compete. The athletes will compete in individual events for men and women; team events for men and women in age groups U6, U7, U8, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and the championship table with no age limit in 3 categories: rapid chess, blitz chess and super blitz chess.

The 9th Northern Chess Championship in 2025 is organized to create a healthy playground, improve professional qualifications for athletes, and at the same time discover and nurture young talents for national teams.

This is also an opportunity to promote the image of the land, people, cultural heritage and tourism and service development potential of Cao Bang province to domestic and international friends.
