Inauguration of the bell tower preserving the national treasure, the pair of bells of Vien Minh pagoda

VHO - Cao Bang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Cao Bang City People's Committee have just held an inauguration ceremony for the project to restore and embellish the bell tower to preserve the national treasures of the pair of bells of Vien Minh Pagoda and Quan Trieu Temple, Hung Dao Commune, Cao Bang City.

The Da Quan relic complex in Hung Dao commune, Cao Bang city has a pair of large ancient bells located at Vien Minh pagoda. ( Da Quan Pagoda ) and Quan Trieu Temple. The pair of bells are original, rare artifacts with many scientific , historical, cultural and tourist values.

In 2016, with their unique historical and cultural values, the pair of bells of Vien Minh Pagoda and Quan Trieu Temple were recognized by the Prime Minister as National Treasures.

Over time and environmental impact, the bell tower preserving the National Treasure has seriously degraded, so its restoration and embellishment is extremely necessary.

From September 2024 to March 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang has implemented the project "Restoration and embellishment of the bell tower to preserve the national treasure of the pair of bells of Da Quan pagoda, Hung Dao commune, Cao Bang city, Cao Bang province" with a total cost of 5,527,000,000 VND.

The construction items are constructed in accordance with the approved design documents, ensuring quality according to current regulations and standards. After being renovated, restored, and rebuilt, the project becomes spacious, while still retaining its ancient beauty.

The restoration and embellishment of the bell tower to preserve the national treasure of the pair of bells of Da Quan pagoda not only preserves, protects, maintains and promotes the value of the relic, but also meets the people's aspirations for cultural and spiritual activities.

Thereby, contributing to preserving and honoring ancient architectural and artistic cultural imprints, educating the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking", promoting the tradition of patriotism and national pride for generations of Cao Bang people.
