AirlineRatings honors Vietjet in the Top Global Sustainable Airlines 2025

Vietjet has just been honored by AirlineRatings, a prestigious unit specializing in evaluating international aviation services and safety, with the Sustainability Awards for global airlines in 2025.

The first-ever "Sustainability Awards 2025" were announced by AirlineRatings, to honor airlines that have made practical strides in reducing their environmental impact. With only 7 global winners, Vietjet is honored to be among the top 3 low-cost airlines promoting green aviation, minimizing environmental impact and moving towards sustainable development.

Vietjet is recognized for its new, modern fleet, one of the top in the Asia- Pacific region, with the majority of A321neo aircraft with the ability to save fuel, reduce CO2 emissions _and significantly reduce noise compared to the previous generation. The airline is also a pioneer in applying sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), implementing many fuel-saving operational solutions.

Vietjet is the first airline to have an ESG sustainability report in Vietnam. The airline has just signed a contract with Petrolimex Aviation to use the first SAF fuel blended in Vietnam according to ISCC EU standards, meeting strict sustainability requirements. By 2025, Vietjet has invested tens of billions of USD to order 40 wide-body A330neo aircraft, the new generation version of the A330 wide-body aircraft, helping to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 25%, and ordered 100 new A321neo aircraft, continuing to promote fleet modernization and contributing to the successful implementation of the goals of reducing net emissions to zero by 2050, developing sustainably with global aviation.
