Dak Doa commune has 5 cooperatives operating in the agricultural sector including: Glar Agricultural Cooperative, Lam Anh Agricultural and Service Cooperative, Hoang Gia Foods Passion Fruit Cooperative, Glar Agricultural and Brocade Weaving Cooperative, Tan Binh Agricultural and Service Cooperative.

Among them, Lam Anh Agricultural and Service Cooperative (Tuoh Ktu village) made a clear mark when cooperating with nearly 500 households to cultivate more than 300 hectares of coffee according to 4C and UTZ standards. In addition, the Cooperative also cooperated with 37 households cultivating 30 hectares of coffee to create raw materials for processing paper filter coffee products with 4-star OCOP certification.
Mr. Le Huu Anh - Director of the Cooperative - said: "The Cooperative focuses on changing the production mindset of its members, especially ethnic minorities, towards clean and sustainable production. We guide people to limit the use of inorganic fertilizers, absolutely not use herbicides, increase organic fertilizers, microorganisms and biological products. This method both protects the environment and reduces investment costs by 10-15 million VND/ha. In addition, the Cooperative also supplies materials, provides technical support, and aims for an organic production model, processing high-quality coffee to increase competitiveness in the market."
Mr. Xuan (Groi Wet village, cooperative member) shared: "Previously, I used herbicides and applied a lot of inorganic fertilizers, which made the soil infertile. With 1.5 hectares of coffee, each crop only yielded about 3-4 tons of beans. Since participating in the farming model following the Japanese EMI process, producing 4C coffee, I have been instructed on techniques to keep the grass moist, use composted coffee husks, use Japanese organic chicken manure and biological pesticides to prevent pests."
Thanks to that, Mr. Xuan's family's investment costs decreased by about 30%, productivity nearly doubled, reaching 6-7 tons of kernels. In particular, thanks to the cooperative's purchase, the product was sold at an additional 200,000 VND/ton compared to the market price.
Another typical model is Glar Agricultural Cooperative. Mr. Ue - Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of the Cooperative - said: The Cooperative is cooperating with 100 households to cultivate 95 hectares of coffee according to 4C standards to provide raw materials for Vinh Hiep Company Limited (An Phu Ward). The cooperation brings much higher efficiency than the traditional way. During the cooperation process, farmers are instructed on techniques and have their products purchased at higher prices than the market.
Every year, Glar Agricultural Cooperative supplies Vinh Hiep Company Limited with over 1,000 tons of 4C-standard coffee beans. Previously, farmers produced on a small scale, so the yield was only 2-3 tons of coffee beans/ha, but now thanks to sustainable production processes, it has increased to 4-5 tons/ha. In particular, the Company also adds a bonus of 100-300 thousand VND/ton compared to the market price, creating motivation for people to stick with the Cooperative.
Ms. Duong Thi Thu Thuy - Head of the Economic Department of Dak Doa Commune - acknowledged: "The movement of farmers participating in cooperatives and cooperative groups in the commune is developing strongly. This is a suitable direction to improve production capacity, especially for ethnic minorities. When participating in cooperatives, people are trained in techniques, produce according to sustainable processes, and have stable output thanks to the consumption of enterprises. In the coming time, the commune will continue to encourage people to cooperate, and at the same time support cooperatives in building brands and registering quality certifications to expand the market."
