The Legal Committee met to review the content of the 20th session of the 15th Provincial People's Council.

Dien Bien TV - On the morning of April 27, the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting to review reports and draft resolutions submitted to the 20th Session of the 15th Provincial People's Council. Attending the meeting were comrade Chu Xuan Truong, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, comrade Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Lo Thi Bich, Head of the People's Council's Legal Committee, agreed on the meeting's contents.

At the meeting, the Legal Committee reviewed the Draft Resolution and Project on rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units in Dien Bien province; and the proposal to approve the Project. According to the Project on rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units in Dien Bien province, the number of commune-level administrative units after rearrangement is 45 units, including 42 communes and 3 wards, a decrease of 84 units, reaching a rate of 65.1%. Of which, the number of newly established administrative units on the basis of merging from 2 administrative units is 16 units; the number of newly established administrative units on the basis of merging from 3 administrative units is 22 units; the number of newly established administrative units on the basis of merging from 4 administrative units is 5 units; the number of newly established administrative units on the basis of merging from 5 administrative units is 1 unit and the number of newly established administrative units on the basis of merging from 6 administrative units is 1 unit.

The delegates reviewed and gave their opinions on the arrangement and reorganization of commune-level administrative units in Dien Bien province. They focused on giving opinions and agreeing on the name, necessity, suitability and content of the Project.

Concluding the working session, Comrade Lo Thi Bich, Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council, received the delegates' comments and contributions. At the same time, she reviewed, edited and completed the Draft Resolution to ensure the format and content according to regulations to submit to the upcoming 20th Session of the Provincial People's Council./.
