Ho Chi Minh City's 10th grade benchmark scores for specialized schools will be announced in a few days. The 10th grade benchmark scores for regular schools will be announced later, after a few weeks.
According to regulations of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, starting from today, June 21-24, they will accept applications for review of 10th grade exam results.
Before 4:00 p.m. on June 24, the Department will announce the benchmark scores for specialized and integrated 10th grade.
June 25-29, candidates admitted to specialized, integrated, and direct programs will confirm their enrollment.
June 30 (expected), announcement of review results.
July 10, announcement of admission scores for regular public grade 10.
July 11 - August 1, admitted candidates confirm enrollment.
The method for calculating admission scores to schools is usually as follows: Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Priority points (if any).
The test score is the sum of the component scores of each question in the test. The test score is calculated on a scale from 0 to 10, with a fractional score of 0.25. The maximum bonus points for priority beneficiaries is 3 points. Successful candidates must take all 3 tests and not have a score of 0 in any test.
Based on the enrollment quota of each school, the number of registrations for each wish and the admission scores, the Department of Education and Training will review and announce the admission scores of each school according to the principle that the admission score for the second wish is higher than the admission score for the first wish and the admission score for the third wish is higher than the admission score for the second wish.
Students' admission will be based on the 3 wishes that students have registered in order of priority from wish 1 to wish 2 and finally wish 3. Schools are only allowed to accept students admitted to grade 10 according to the list approved by the Department of Education and Training.
How to calculate admission scores to specialized schools and specialized classes as follows: Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Specialized subject exam score x 2 + Priority points (if any).
The method for calculating admission scores for integrated programs is as follows:
- For students participating in the Integrated English Program at secondary school level in Ho Chi Minh City:
Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Average score of integrated English program + Priority points (if any).
- For students who do not participate in the Integrated English Program at secondary school level in Ho Chi Minh City:
Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Integrated English exam score + Priority points (if any).
Only candidates who are eligible to take the entrance exam, have taken all required exams, have not violated the regulations in the entrance exam and have not scored 0 on any exam will be considered for admission.
Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the 10th grade exam scores for more than 98,000 candidates, and also announced this year's score distribution.
The Department plans to announce the benchmark scores for specialized and integrated 10th grade on June 24. The benchmark scores for regular 10th grade and the list of admitted students will be announced on July 10.
The 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City took place on June 6-7 with more than 98,000 candidates competing for 77,300 places.
Last year, the schools with the lowest entrance scores were Da Phuoc High School, Binh Khanh High School, Can Thanh High School, An Nghia High School, Thanh An High School and Secondary School with 10.5 points, or an average of 3.5 points per subject.
