(NLDO) - Before "G hour", people of the revolutionary land of 18 Vuon Trau villages sent their wishes to the "female guerrillas" who are carrying out special missions at the A80 ceremony.

"So proud of my hometown Hoc Mon", "The people of 18 villages are forever at the top", "Congratulations on completing your mission", "Stay healthy, soldiers", "You are truly a good daughter of a noble family"... those are the comments on social networks dedicated to the 7 "female guerrillas" of Hoc Mon district (old) before they set off for their mission at the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (A80 Anniversary).

The photo of Mr. Dong Tan Thanh and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hien (living in Ba Diem commune) showing off their daughter suddenly went viral on social media. Many people took turns praying for a talented child.

The main female in the photo is Dong An Thu (born 2000, Ba Diem commune). Thu is participating in the Southern female guerrilla unit at A80. Before "G hour", the family printed and hung Thu's photo in the family coffee shop to give the "female guerrilla" more strength.

Sharing with reporters on the morning of September 1, Thu said that today was the last practice session, everyone hugged each other and cried a lot. Thu was also very surprised when the home team had a lovely act of support.

Thu was the valedictorian of the fashion design major at Ton Duc Thang University, received a 100% master's scholarship, and studied abroad in Italy. Currently, Thu is working as a stylist for famous artists and is also the owner of 2 coffee shops in Ho Chi Minh City.

"As a Vietnamese citizen with strong national pride, I was attracted by the solemnity, discipline and beauty of the A50 teams. That inspired me to register to participate in A80 this time" - An Thu confided.

Thu's impressive achievements made many people pray for her to study well.

Working with famous people and being exposed to different cultures has given An Thu many sources of inspiration and ideas imbued with Vietnamese national identity.

Thu hopes that the Southern female guerrillas will demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and the indomitable will of the nation. "For me, participating in the parade is not only a personal honor but also an opportunity to spread patriotism to everyone," Thu said with a smile.

Confessions before "G hour"

Nguyen Thi Cam Tu (born 2003, residing in Ba Diem commune) emotionally recalled that when the convoy entered Ba Dinh Square at 3:00 a.m. on August 30, in the rain, the image of people from the North waiting and shouting "The South has arrived, the South is so beautiful!" made Tu extremely happy.

"We are walking among the people, in the loving arms of everyone. Every step is a source of pride" - Tu said with a smile.

Cam Tu has a pretty appearance with a bright smile.

Tu said she had received an invitation to join the A70 and A50 parade formations, but she had to miss the appointment because of her busy school schedule. The A80 invitation was sent to her house right when Tu had just graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, and she did not hesitate to accept the invitation right away.

Before the rehearsal day, the whole group stayed up all night to prepare and put on makeup. The biggest pressure was the unpredictable weather, but it could not stop the young girls.

"After more than 3 months of training, I feel myself maturing every day, living more responsibly. Above all, I am proud to be one of the children of the revolutionary land of 18 betel gardens, and will definitely complete this special mission well" - Tu affirmed.

Outside of school hours, Tu also participates in many volunteer activities.

Unlike Tu, Mai Nguyen Phuong Thao (born 2004, Dong Thanh commune) has experience participating in the parade at A70. Thao is currently a student at Thu Dau Mot University. Near the enrollment date, Thao wrote an email to the school and received maximum support.

She said she was surprised to see many fellow countrymen participating in the parade. Thanks to that, Thao felt less homesick and had more motivation to complete her mission well. Thao believes that at each stage, each region has its own way of expressing patriotism. It is not necessary to do "big things" to be considered patriotic.

"Although my family cannot go to Hanoi to see me on duty, I am sure they will watch on TV and be proud of me," Thao said.

Mai Nguyen Phuong Thao is one of the 7 "female guerrillas" of Hoc Mon district (old) participating in the Southern female guerrillas bloc at A80.

Hoc Mon District (old) during the resistance war against French colonialism was considered the revolutionary cradle of the South. This place, also known by the famous name of 18 betel gardens, is an address that has witnessed and experienced many ups and downs along with the history of the struggle for independence and the history of the nation.
