On September 25, the leader of Gia Dinh People's Hospital (HCMC) informed Dan Tri reporter about the incident that recently occurred there.
Accordingly, on the morning of September 24, 2025, at Gia Dinh People's Hospital, there was an interruption in the medical examination and treatment software due to a network system error. This affected the reception and examination process in some areas, especially the outpatient examination block.
The above incident has slowed down the progress of medical examination and treatment, causing inconvenience to patients and their relatives.
Immediately after detecting the incident, the Hospital deployed emergency measures, mobilized technical staff and related units to quickly restore the system. By 10:00 a.m. the same day, the network system was connected and medical examination and treatment activities were basically restored.
To ensure the rights of the people, medical staff of Gia Dinh People's Hospital are working continuously until 6:00 p.m. on the same day. The hospital also quickly records information and delivers medicine and results to people's homes within the day.

Previously, in 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Heart Institute also encountered an IT-related incident when the unit's website for getting online medical examination numbers was attacked.
To overcome this situation, the Institute has temporarily closed the website and run a backup system, and adjusted the parameters on the server to block unusual accesses.
After the incident, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health and other authorities proposed a number of solutions to fix the system, avoiding affecting people when registering for online medical examination at the Institute, such as reviewing, re-evaluating and fixing the entire system, upgrading the firewall system as well as considering transferring this website to another system to ensure more information security...
