Co To Border Guards take people and vehicles to safe storm shelters

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 9, on September 22, the Border Guard force in Co To special zone urgently deployed storm prevention and control measures to ensure the safety of people and property.

Tran Island Border Guard Station has increased information, calling on people to proactively prevent and fight storms and ensure safety of people and property.

Tran Island Border Guard Station has sent 2 working groups with 16 officers and soldiers to Tran village to help people tie up 5 aquaculture cages, to minimize damage caused by storms. The unit has also called and mobilized 16 vehicles and 37 fishermen to take shelter in safe places.

Thanh Lan Border Guard Station, police forces and working groups of Co To special zone propagated and instructed people to reinforce cages and rafts for farming and bring boats to safe shelters from storm No. 9.

Also on September 21-22, Thanh Lan Border Guard Station mobilized 2 high-speed boats, 10 officers and soldiers to coordinate with the police force and working groups of Co To special zone to organize propaganda and mobilize 191 ships, boats, and rafts to move to the harbor to avoid storm No. 9.

Currently, working groups continue to closely monitor the area, inform and mobilize owners of vehicles still offshore to quickly move to safe anchorage.
