Binh Dinh has selected and approved investors for 28 social housing projects.

According to this report, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province said that from 2021 to now, the province has completed and put into use 3 projects and part of 1 project, with 1,841 apartments, with a total investment of 1,797 billion VND.

In addition, the province has started construction of 3 projects and part of 1 project, with 3,586 apartments, total floor area of 201,555 m2, total land area of 9.36 ha, total investment of 3,102 billion VND.

Regarding projects that have been approved for investment but have not yet been implemented, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province said that the locality has bid to select investors and approved investors for 28 projects. These projects will provide about 24,675 apartments with a total floor area of about 1.5 million square meters, a total land area of about 67.95 hectares, and a total investment of about 13,990 billion VND.

Some projects include: Social housing area in area 1, Dong Da ward, Quy Nhon city; Social housing area west of Tran Nhan Tong street, Nhon Phu ward, Quy Nhon city; Social housing area in Bong Son ward, Hoai Nhon town; Pisico Social housing; Long Van Social housing, etc.

In this report, the leader of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee said that the management and development of social housing and workers' housing in the area is currently facing some difficulties. The locality recommends that there should be a general policy to simplify the credit loan process, while reducing intermediary steps and document components.

At the same time, it is necessary to limit additional requirements from banks related to increasing the counterpart capital limit for project owners who have made a counterpart of 20% of the total investment capital for the project as prescribed by law. In addition, no additional collateral is required other than the mortgage of the social housing project that is being financed by the Bank.

The People's Committee of Binh Dinh province also proposed that the State Bank of Vietnam consider simplifying procedures related to lending by commercial banks participating in the 120,000 billion VND credit program. Thereby helping investors and home buyers of social housing projects, worker housing, renovation and reconstruction projects of old apartments and procedures related to interest rate support from the State budget for loans of enterprises, cooperatives and business households according to regulations.

Regarding the 120,000 billion VND credit package, there are currently about 105 projects that have been granted construction permits and are being implemented for investment and construction that are eligible for loans. According to the summary report, up to now, 12 Departments of Construction have reviewed documents and made a list of 37 projects with a total investment of about 42,463 billion VND, a loan demand of about 17,850 billion VND, eligible to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and announcement of the project list...

These projects are being reviewed and approved by the provincial People's Committees for announcement in the coming time. In addition, 5 provincial People's Committees (including Tra Vinh , Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Ha Tinh and Da Nang) have announced a list of 11 projects eligible for loans under the 120,000 billion VND credit program with a total investment capital of 7,897 billion VND, and a loan demand of about 2,681 billion VND.
