65 years ago, Cuba was the pioneer country in establishing diplomatic relations with Vietnam, and at the same time led international movements to support Vietnam's cause of national liberation and nation building.
Over the past 65 years, the special and loyal friendship, solidarity and unity between the two countries has become a shining symbol of international solidarity, based on the common ideals of independence, freedom and socialism.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Colonel Vu Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command, emphasized the significance of the program. Currently, the Cuban people are facing many difficulties, especially children, the elderly and vulnerable groups, due to the prolonged impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters.
Officers of the Quang Ninh Border Guard Command donated funds to the Cuban people.
Responding to the campaign program "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross , officers and soldiers of the Border Guard of Quang Ninh province have deducted part of their salaries and allowances to share difficulties with the Cuban people.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, all officers and soldiers in the provincial Border Guard force raised a total of more than 180 million VND. The entire amount will be reported by the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard Command and submitted to the Border Guard Command to be compiled and sent to the Cuban people.
