A representative of the Ministry of Education and Training said that the Ministry assigned the Department of Quality Management to synthesize information and advise the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training on handling information related to the fact that Mr. Vuong Tan Viet (Venerable Thich Chan Quang) was not on the list of people awarded a high school diploma for supplementary cultural studies on June 6, 1989.

However, because the incident originated from the doctoral degree granted by Hanoi Law University to Mr. Vuong Tan Viet, the main information will be collected by the Department of Higher Education .

Currently, the Department of Quality Management is in the process of receiving information. After that, there will be a report to the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training.

As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just sent a document to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs to verify the high school diploma of Mr. Vuong Tan Viet.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, on July 30, the department had a working session with the inspection team of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs to verify the learning process of Mr. Vuong Tan Viet.

During the working session, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with the inspection team to review all records including the list of high school graduates and the list of names and scores of all candidates taking the exam on June 6, 1989.

At the end of the inspection process, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City confirmed the results of the review of the high school graduation exam records of Mr. Vuong Tan Viet, born in 1959, as follows:

Not on the list of candidates and the score sheet in the 1989 high school graduation exam of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City.

Not on the list of high school diploma holders for the supplementary cultural course on June 6, 1989 of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training had sent an urgent dispatch signed by Director of the Department of Higher Education Nguyen Thu Thuy to Hanoi Law University requesting a report on the enrollment and training process of PhD student Vuong Tan Viet.

The official dispatch of the Ministry of Education and Training clearly stated that there is currently a lot of conflicting information about the recruitment, training and granting of doctoral degrees to Mr. Vuong Tan Viet at Hanoi Law University. To have complete information, the Ministry of Education and Training requested Hanoi Law University to urgently report specifically on the recruitment and training process for doctoral degrees (including the submission of documents for review and thesis defense...) and have accompanying evidence for Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's documents.
