Minister of Planning and Investment inspects progress of coastal road section through Nghe An

This evening, the working delegation of Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung inspected the progress of the coastal road from Nghi Son - Thanh Hoa to Cua Lo - Nghe An . Also traveling on the side of Nghe An province were comrades Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities.

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and his delegation inspected the progress of the Coastal Road section through Nghe An.

The coastal route from Nghi Son ( Thanh Hoa ) to Cua Lo (Nghe An) from Km7 - Km76 was implemented from February 2022 on a length of nearly 60km. The total investment of the project is 4,651 billion VND, of which the construction part is over 3,200 billion VND.

To date, site clearance work has reached 98.2%. The entire project has disbursed nearly VND 3,440 billion, of which the construction part of both packages has disbursed nearly VND 2,460 billion, reaching 88%. In 2024 alone, VND 798.6 billion has been allocated and to date the disbursement rate has reached 76.65%.

Site clearance work in Nghe An province has so far reached 98.2%.

According to the contract, the project will not be completed until February 2026. However, Nghe An province is directing and urging construction units to focus on human resources and equipment to speed up progress and strive to complete the project by mid-2025, 6 months ahead of schedule.

Reporting to the working group of the Ministry of Planning and Investment at the Lach Quen bridge in Quynh Luu district, the leader of the Department of Transport said that currently, 4/8 rigid bridges have been completed along the entire route. Construction units strive to complete the bridge section before January 2025; the roadbed before April 30 of next year.

For the 1km of land that is still stuck at some points, due to the involvement of 49 households, the localities are completing the procedures, paying the people and are expected to complete it by February next year.

Emphasizing the importance of the coastal route, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung suggested: From now on, Nghe An province needs to direct the localities where the coastal route passes through to protect the current status on both sides of the route; not to encroach or destroy the planning; prepare the conditions for a systematic planning in the future, opening up new spaces for the coastal economic development of Nghe An.
