Coast Guard Region 2 Command proactively responds to storm No. 10

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 10 (BUALOI), the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 has deployed many proactive solutions for prevention, control and response.

Accordingly, the leaders of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command directly inspected the preparations for prevention, control and response to storm No. 10 at agencies and units in the work of securing barracks, warehouses, weapons and equipment, trimming trees, clearing sewers, and dismantling billboards and signs to ensure safety. The mobile force maintained its number of troops, was ready to receive missions, and strictly implemented the on-duty regime, ensured smooth communication, closely monitored the storm's developments and promptly adjusted and supplemented response plans.

Major General Tran Quang Tuan, Commander of Coast Guard Region 2, requested units to develop plans to mobilize forces and means, organize command and information duty, and prepare adequate supplies and equipment to ensure safety in storm prevention, response and recovery. Units proactively deploy storm prevention and response measures; tie and reinforce ropes to ensure safety for ships; barracks, warehouses, weapons and equipment are tied down stably and firmly; mobile teams ensure the number of personnel, ready to perform tasks.

Major General Tran Quang Tuan requested agencies and units to strictly maintain on-duty regimes, ensure uninterrupted communication; proactively monitor and grasp the storm's developments; continue to thoroughly grasp telegrams and instructions from superiors; organize reviews, adjustments, and supplements to plans; provide sufficient equipment and materials for storm prevention and control, prepare forces and means to respond promptly and effectively when situations arise and ensure safety in all aspects. Proactively coordinate closely with local Party committees and authorities in the stationed areas, be ready to mobilize to help people respond, search and rescue, and minimize damage caused by the storm to the people.

For boats anchored in shelter areas, Major General Tran Quang Tuan requested the commanders of Squadron 21 and Squadron 202 to direct the boats to prepare storm prevention plans well and ensure safety.
