Notably, this list includes 8 young faces from the U23 team that just won the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship and qualified for the 2026 Asian U23 Championship.

The players include Tran Trung Kien, Khuat Van Khang, Nguyen Hieu Minh, Nguyen Xuan Bac, Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Nguyen Phi Hoang, Nguyen Nhat Minh and Nguyen Dinh Bac.

Giving opportunities to young talents not only shows the strategic vision of the coaching staff in building a successor force, but also brings a new breeze of competitive spirit, speed and diversity in tactics to the national team.

Besides the new elements, the team still maintains the presence of many experienced players such as Do Duy Manh, Bui Tien Dung, Pham Xuan Manh, Pham Tuan Hai, Nguyen Hai Long, Nguyen Hoang Duc, Nguyen Quang Hai, Cao Pentdant Quang Vinh, Nguyen Tien Linh...

The harmonious combination of youth and experience is expected to bring depth, stability and flexibility in competition, while ensuring the team's sustainable development orientation on the path to conquering major tournaments in the region and continent.

According to the plan, the Vietnamese team will gather again from October 4 in Ho Chi Minh City to enter the professional preparation phase. The first leg match with Nepal will take place at Go Dau Stadium ( Binh Duong ) on October 9, while the second leg will be held at Thong Nhat Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City) on October 14.

The organizers also announced plans to issue tickets to serve fans. Accordingly, tickets have two denominations of 200,000 VND and 400,000 VND, and will be sold through two channels: online and in person.

The online channel is exclusively available on the OneU app (formerly known as VinID) from September 29 to October 7 in two phases. At the same time, tickets will also be sold directly at the Go Dau Stadium and Thong Nhat Stadium ticket counters, starting from October 4.

Fans can choose to receive tickets via VietnamPost's express delivery service or receive them directly at post offices according to instructions from the organizers.

The two matches against Nepal are considered an important step for the Vietnamese team to shape its squad, perfect its playing style, and test the integration of the young generation of players on the journey towards the 2027 Asian Cup and further goals.
