Biological cement injection successfully treated vertebral collapse in patients with falls

Doctors at Thuan My ITO Dong Nai Hospital have just successfully applied biological cement injection technique to treat vertebral collapse for patient VTKP (61 years old, residing in Phu Lam commune). This is a modern, minimally invasive method, helping patients recover quickly and be discharged early.

Mrs. P. was admitted to the hospital with severe back pain, unable to walk or eat by herself. A few days before, Mrs. P. slipped and fell in the bathroom. Due to the pain, she had to stay in one place, making all daily activities difficult.

MRI results of the spine showed that the patient had a collapsed lumbar vertebra. Doctors performed surgery to inject biological cement into the vertebra to relieve pain and stabilize the damaged spinal structure of the patient.
