The silent "beauty" on the security front in Ha Tinh

Born and raised in the mountainous district of Huong Khe ( Ha Tinh ), since childhood, Captain Dau Thi Nhung (born in 1990, from Hoa Hai commune) always had the dream of wearing a military uniform and protecting the peaceful lives of the people.

In 2009, with hard work and effort in studying, Nhung passed the entrance exam to the People's Security Academy. Graduating with excellent academic performance, Nhung was promoted one year early and assigned to work at the Security Team of Huong Khe District Police.

Despite being trained in a formal environment in the field of security, Captain Dau Thi Nhung could not avoid the confusion of a young scout while performing her duties. Right from the time she took up the job, Captain Nhung always spent a lot of time going to the base, staying close to the area to be able to promptly grasp the situation, listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people, and contribute to timely advice to help the unit's leaders build and deploy many plans related to the field of security and order in the area.

The female police captain also actively propagates the Party's policies and the State's laws through many forms, including the social network Facebook, so that everyone understands and implements them correctly, not allowing bad elements to take advantage. With her dedication, responsibility for her work, and closeness to the people, she is always trusted and supported by the people.

Captain Nhung always spends a lot of time going to the grassroots, staying close to the area to be able to listen to the thoughts, wishes and opinions of the people.

Captain Nhung confided that working in the security field, one often has to contact and meet with many elements, so one must always use one's courage and intelligence to "fight with the mind". And to "fight with the mind", one must first have the qualifications and a firm grasp of the legal regulations in each field.

With the spirit of "proactive security", Captain Nhung always studies to improve her qualifications and capacity in all aspects, innovates her thinking and builds a scientific working style to keep up with the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.

"Determining that security work requires dedication, not being afraid of difficulties or hardships, and being ready to carry out tasks assigned by superiors, one must therefore build a strong political stance, always be sensitive to the situation, and have the ability to forecast security issues in order to propose policies and work directions to superiors" - Captain Dau Thi Nhung shared her work experience after nearly 10 years working in the security uniform.

Captain Dau Thi Nhung and officers and soldiers in the unit proactively stayed close to the area and did a good job of grasping the situation.

According to Captain Nhung, the security frontline seems quiet but is actually quite complex, requiring each officer and soldier to always be sensitive and flexible. Especially with "hot spots" in the area, although not directly facing, the security force must always grasp the situation to promptly advise local authorities and units on solutions.

A typical example is the case of a number of cases protesting against the district's waste treatment project in Huong Thuy commune. As a security officer, Nhung and her teammates had to go to the area, meet, contact, dialogue, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people to advise the local authorities on how to resolve the issue. At the same time, they classified the subjects to propose appropriate solutions.

During the process of contacting the base and sticking to the area, many dangers always lurk, so if you do not love the job and do not have the courage, it is difficult to complete the task. After the achievements and challenges of the job, Captain Nhung herself and the officers and soldiers of the Huong Khe District Police Security Team have become more experienced and courageous.

During her work, Captain Dau Thi Nhung was honored many times by the Provincial Police and Huong Khe District.

Not only doing well in her professional work, as the President of the Women's Union of Huong Khe District Police, Captain Dau Thi Nhung always actively participates in movements launched by the Provincial Police Women's Union and Huong Khe District Women's Union. Effectively organizing and implementing projects and tasks undertaken by women, actively participating in godmother activities, donating and giving gifts to poor children in remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas.
