The 2024-2025 school year's grassroots sports festival of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted with the participation of 89 classes with more than 1,000 students. Students competed in 7 subjects: men's soccer, basketball (men's and women's basketball), table tennis (men's and women's singles), chess (men's and women's singles), Chinese chess (men's and women's singles), badminton (men's and women's), tug of war (men's and women's).

Sports not only require individual skills, but also help promote team spirit, solidarity and competition tactics of each group.

The grassroots sports festival of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted will take place from September 28 to November 17, 2024. All students of the school are eligible to compete according to their class. Each student can register to compete in 1-2 subjects if they are capable.

Mr. Pham Thanh Yen, Vice Principal of the school, said that the grassroots sports festival is held annually with the goal of continuing to maintain and promote the movement of physical training following the example of Uncle Ho; promoting sports activities in schools; training students to regularly practice and compete in sports to improve physical strength and contribute to personality education for students.

The sports festival is also an opportunity to improve the effectiveness of physical education in schools. At the same time, through these sports competitions, students' sporting talents can be discovered, nurtured and selected for the school team to participate in student and talent championships of the city and the whole country.
