Provincial Post Office: Providing timely postal services

Promoting the tradition of the Vietnam Postal Industry over 80 years of construction and growth (August 15, 1945 - August 15, 2025), proud of the 10 golden words "Loyalty - Courage - Dedication - Creativity - Kindness", Thai Nguyen Provincial Post Office has proactively reorganized the system and network to meet the requirements of implementing a 2-level local government, ensuring smooth information, serving people promptly, without interruption.

Promoting tradition, serving the people

After the success of the August Revolution, the Thai Nguyen revolutionary government took over and put into use the entire organizational system, network of wires and equipment of the "Steel Wire House" left by the French. The Provincial Post Office was officially established. Through the revolutionary periods, generations of cadres and workers of the Thai Nguyen Post Office have always maintained a smooth communication network, serving the direction of the Party and authorities at all levels; serving the development of the economy , society, security, national defense and people's lives.

Implementing the 2-level local government model, closely following the policy of the superiors, Thai Nguyen Provincial Post Office has developed a plan to establish commune post offices according to the 2-level local government model to serve effectively and smoothly.

Specifically, the reorganization of the commune level, the consolidation of many communes into one, the work of the authorities at all levels and the postal transit sectors is 3-4 times more than before, especially the goods and parcels of people and organizations are delivered and transported through the postal system has increased, but the postal system still meets the requirements.

Ms. Dao Thi Huong, postal worker of Dinh Hoa commune, informed: Many goods and services are sent, the recipient still writes the old place name and address, while the new commune name has changed after the merger, but the postal system in Thai Nguyen province has promptly supplemented and updated, our postal team is familiar with the area and administrative boundaries, so goods and parcels are delivered promptly, without being lost.

Support commune and ward authorities in handling administrative procedures

Not only performing business tasks and implementing the direction of the Government and Vietnam Post Corporation, from July 1, 2025, Thai Nguyen Provincial Post Office has arranged at least 1 postal employee to support commune and ward authorities in handling administrative procedures at public administrative service centers.

Provincial Post Office staff guide and support people, receive online applications and return results by post.

According to Mr. Tran Cao Hoai, Director of the Provincial Post Office: The Provincial Post Office has arranged 102 employees to go to the administrative centers of communes and wards to support citizens in submitting documents online. At the same time, it has coordinated with the Provincial Land Registration Office to replace all post office employees who receive administrative procedure documents in the areas under the jurisdiction of the Land Office in 92 communes and wards of the province.

We also organized 31 more post offices and cultural post offices in communes to support and guide people in the area in submitting online administrative procedure settlement dossiers. We fully prepared equipment, facilities, infrastructure, and coordinated with local authorities to receive dossiers and return the results of administrative procedure settlement to people, contributing directly to the construction of a modern administration that is close to the people and serves the people when operating a two-level government.

In addition to supporting communes and wards in handling administrative procedures, the Provincial Post Office also proactively coordinates closely with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Thai Nguyen Newspaper and Radio and Television, and Party Committees of communes and wards to review newly formed party organizations, agencies and units after the merger, and arrange to distribute newspapers, especially Party newspapers and magazines identified as timely documents for activities and propaganda of party cells and organizations.

After August 15, 2025, the Bac Kan Post Office and Thai Nguyen Post Office will merge into Thai Nguyen Provincial Post Office and the commune post office model will officially come into operation. This will be a historic moment marking a new stage, a transformation stage of the Postal sector to ensure good production and business, fulfill the mission of serving the government, serving the people and meeting the increasing needs of society.
