Can Tho: Bus ticket prices for September 2nd holiday increase by no more than 40%

On August 18, information from the Department of Construction of Can Tho City said that two passenger transport companies announced an increase in bus ticket prices during the September 2 holiday.

My Duyen Passenger Transport Company Limited Branch has adjusted the ticket prices for 7 fixed routes to Mien Tay bus station from September 1 to September 2 to compensate for the cost of empty trips, however the increase will not exceed 40% compared to normal days.

Accordingly, the ticket price from Ke Sach bus station - Mien Tay bus station (depending on the type of vehicle) increased from 170,000 to 235,000 VND/ticket (increased by 65,000 VND) and from 190,000 VND to 265,000 VND/ticket (increased by 75,000 VND). Tran De bus station - Mien Tay bus station increased by 70,000 VND and 75,000 VND/ticket.

Dai Ngai bus station, My Tu bus station, Long Phu bus station and Soc Trang bus station - Mien Tay bus station increased ticket prices by 60,000 VND and 70,000 VND/ticket respectively (depending on the type of bus). Can Tho city central bus station - Mien Tay bus station increased by 60,000 VND and 65,000 VND/ticket.

Meanwhile, the branch of Phuong Trang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company - FUTA Bus Lines adjusted the ticket price for the September 2 holiday, with an increase of 21% - 24%. The ticket price adjustment time is on August 29 and 30, September 1 and 2.

Specifically, there are 15 fixed bus routes with increased ticket prices, including: Can Tho City Central Bus Station - Chau Doc Bus Station, ticket price increased from 130,000 VND to 160,000 VND/ticket; Can Tho City Central Bus Station - Ca Mau Bus Station, ticket price increased from 170,000 VND to 210,000 VND; Can Tho City Central Bus Station - Hong Ngu Bus Station, ticket price increased from 145,000 VND to 180,000 VND/ticket...

Can Tho City Department of Construction requires bus stations to closely coordinate with transport businesses to arrange vehicles, increase passenger clearance when the number of passengers increases suddenly, and limit passenger congestion.
