On September 11, at the intersection of National Highway 12C - the starting point of the Vung Ang - Bung Expressway in Ky Tan Commune, former Ky Anh District, now Ky Hoa Commune, Ha Tinh Province, reporters from Ha Tinh Newspaper recorded that the sign prohibiting trucks of 10 tons or more from entering this expressway had been removed.
Vehicles, from cars, buses, small trucks to heavy-duty vehicles such as containers and tractors, are all allowed to travel on the Vung Ang - Bung highway.
The removal of the sign prohibiting trucks over 10 tons from circulating on the Vung Ang - Bung Expressway was also confirmed by the leader of Road Management Area II (Vietnam Road Administration) to Ha Tinh Newspaper reporters on the morning of September 11.

According to Road Management Area II, the decision to ban trucks over 10 tons from circulating on the Vung Ang - Bung highway is under the authority of the Ministry of Construction .
The fact that Project Management Board 6 - the investor of the Vung Ang - Bung Expressway, put up signs prohibiting trucks over 10 tons from traveling after putting into operation stems from the fact that this expressway is in temporary operation. However, putting up signs without the opinion of the Ministry of Construction is not in accordance with its function. Therefore, before the Ministry of Construction makes a decision, removing the prohibition signs is necessary and in accordance with the law.

As reported by Ha Tinh Electronic Newspaper, the Vung Ang – Bung Expressway has been opened to traffic and put into operation since August 28, 2025. However, at the time of opening, the project investor placed signs prohibiting trucks over 10 tons from traveling on this expressway.
The reason for banning trucks over 10 tons, as given by Project Management Board 6 (Ministry of Construction), is that this expressway has just been completed and is being put into temporary operation, while the terrain conditions on the route are difficult and complicated. Allowing heavy trucks to circulate on the route could lead to traffic safety problems.
At both ends of the route, the management board has installed warning signs, asking drivers not to drive heavy trucks onto the route.
