Touch East

Late Autumn, early Winter, the earth and sky suddenly become magical in the moment of changing seasons. The late autumn sunshine seems to pour honey into nameless memories. The early winter wind is gently cold enough to make people feel melancholy. These days, I can clearly feel the scent of Autumn permeating the chilly mist on every street of the city. Perhaps, Autumn and I embrace the nostalgia of the days touching Winter?

Touch East

The milk flower branches sway in the cold wind of early winter.

Touching Winter is also when daisies appear on the street along with shy young girls in flowing ao dai. The strands of hair flying in the early winter wind fall on soft shoulders, falling on daisies, enough to make someone's heart flutter. Daisies, a simple flower but strangely attractive. The fragile petals surrounding the bright yellow pistil make the old street shine brightly in the early winter afternoon. Memories of a youth suddenly come flooding back to the mind.

Remembering the time in white school uniforms and the memories with teachers and school. Each school year that passes, teachers welcome a new generation of students. Later, when flipping through the farewell yearbook pages, my heart suddenly flutters with memories of the "ferrymen" who brought me and many generations of students to the shore of knowledge. I remember the bouquet of daisies that the whole class gave me and was cherished by the homeroom teacher on the school's founding anniversary. The storms of life tore the members of the class apart and sent them in all directions. Although I always cherish the kindness of teachers, the struggle for a living makes it impossible for me to always arrange to visit the "knowledge benefactor" of the past.

Touch East

Daisies are blooming on the street.

Heaven and earth are also cleverly arranged, the corn season also comes when winter approaches. There are mornings when I curl up in a warm blanket, listening to the voices of women and girls excitedly inviting each other to harvest corn, the feeling is so familiar. With the ingenuity of housewives, corn is processed into many attractive dishes, becoming a "specialty" in all regions. In this season, on the dinner tray of each family, there is often corn stir-fried with eggs, sliced corn mixed with salad, corn stir-fried with thinly sliced chicken, adding a little chili pepper, it is so delicious.

One day, while on a business trip through Hung Ha district, I suddenly caught the scent of milk flowers wafting in the wind. Suddenly looking up at the canopy of trees along the road, I felt pity for the milk flower branch swaying in the cold wind of early winter. Although the leaves had almost fallen, the small, pretty, ivory-white flower clusters still tried to offer a bit of sweet, strong fragrance to hold on to autumn.

Late afternoon, in a small, pretty coffee shop in the heart of the city, I quietly watched the yellow leaves swirl in the wind and then gently land on the sidewalk... Suddenly, the verses of the poem "Touching Winter" came back to my mind:

The capricious wind gathers the last leaves of Autumn. The sulky clouds cling to the mist of the old days. The sun is innocent and dreamy, as if sleeping. It calls Winter to take refuge at dusk!

Perhaps, Autumn is still lingering, not leaving its reluctant steps when Winter begins.

Touching the East, sometimes waking up a little early, sitting with close friends enjoying a cup of tea, watching the sea waves crashing, suddenly thinking about the meaning of life. In life, every person, every event comes and goes because of fate. Therefore, when fate comes, we should cherish it, when fate ends, we should let it go, knowing how to take things lightly will surely bring peace in life.

These days, I want to forever hold on to the beautiful moment of the changing seasons because of the interaction of heaven and earth. But I understand, life should follow the impermanence, when one season comes, another must leave...
