Here, the right branch water supply project in the direction of Ben Thanh - Tham Luong has installed HDPE1600 pipe with length L = 137.6/309m, reaching 44.5%, expected to complete the construction of water supply pipe installation this June. The right branch drainage project in the direction of Ben Thanh - Tham Luong has installed box culverts 126/269 culvert segments, reaching 46.84%, expected to complete in November.

According to the contractor's report, at station S2 (Tao Dan station), the 10kV high voltage project has completed the construction of cable connection tunnel 1, cable pulling tunnel 1 and cable pulling tunnel 2, and is currently conducting exploratory excavation to prepare for the construction of the cable trench. It is expected that the cable pulling work of this project will be completed in June.

Construction of Pham Van Bach station's technical infrastructure is expected to be completed in November.

Regarding the drainage project, the right branch in the direction of Ben Thanh - Tham Luong: 75/417 culvert segments have been constructed, reaching 17%, expected to be completed in October. The left branch in the direction of Ben Thanh - Tham Luong will be completed in July 2025 due to the coordination of construction with water and electricity supply projects.

At S3 station (Dan Chu station): Exploratory excavation work for the D1050mm water supply pipeline began in May, and is expected to be completed after 1 year. At S4 station (Hoa Hung station), the left branch drainage project in the direction of Ben Thanh - Tham Luong (District 10) has completed 107/392 box culvert sections, reaching 27.29%, and will be completed in November.

At station S5 (Le Thi Rieng station), the left branch drainage project in the direction of Ben Thanh - Tham Luong (District 10 side) has reached 32.69% of construction and will be completed by December this year. The right branch drainage project (District 3 side) at station S4 (Hoa Hung station) and station S5 (Le Thi Rieng station) will be implemented immediately after District 3 completes the site clearance and handover to the investor. Station S6 (Pham Van Hai station) is currently conducting a survey before starting construction.

Section 2 from station S7 (Bay Hien station) to station S11 (Tan Binh station), the left branch drainage project in the direction of Ben Thanh - Tham Luong (Queo - Pham Van Bach open-cut section) has completed 22/88 sewer segments, reaching 25%.

MAUR leaders said that the Board regularly checks and reminds contractors and supervisory consultants to ensure labor safety and environmental sanitation. During the construction process, contractors have arranged personnel to carry out traffic diversion, install corrugated iron fences, cover, clean up construction sections and arrange vehicles neatly. At the same time, they have arranged entrances and exits for people to avoid affecting their daily activities.

In addition, the construction of technical infrastructure in a narrow urban area with enough space to arrange items within a 5m radius (arranging all technical infrastructure items such as electricity, water supply, drainage, etc.) is very difficult and has many potential risks such as water loss, power outage, etc. "Currently, the city is about to enter the rainy season, the possibility of construction causing subsidence, landslides, and flooding in the construction area is inevitable" - MAUR leaders are concerned.

Recognizing and assessing this issue early, MAUR has always reminded, checked, and urged contractors and supervisory consultants to strengthen safety measures during construction to avoid possible risks.

Metro Line 2 is a project that plays an important role in developing the city's urban railway system, completing the traffic network as well as beautifying, developing urban areas and promoting the economy and society of Ho Chi Minh City. According to the plan, the units will basically complete the relocation of technical infrastructure works in 2024 to be ready to hand over to the main contractor for the construction of tunnels and stations of Metro Line 2 in 2025.
