'Special' train trip before Independence Day September 2

On the last working day before the holiday, there were 14 trains departing from Hanoi station, with 6,730 passengers. Of these, there were 8 trips to the southern provinces, 4 trips to Hai Phong and 2 trips to Lao Cai.

General Director of Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) Hoang Gia Khanh said that during this year's National Day holiday, ticket sales increased by about 10% compared to the same period last year.

Up to this point, the railway industry has sold 130,000 tickets. Due to the high density of passengers traveling during the peak holiday season, ensuring service quality, security and safety for passengers is a priority.

The railway industry has deployed a force of young volunteers to assist passengers with procedures, travel, and find trains.

VNR also diversified ticket sales methods for passengers to buy tickets conveniently and quickly. In addition to the regular trains on the routes, the railway has added dozens of trains. The trains departing at prime times on peak days such as August 30-31 and September 2-3 are almost sold out, with only a few tickets left for the 3rd floor sleeper train in compartment 6.

International guests were very excited about the special experience on the train during the Independence Day holiday and were excited about the Vietnamese national flag.

August 30th is identified as the peak day, the railway organizes 10 trains on the North-South route with 5 Thong Nhat passenger trains Hanoi - Saigon, 1 train Hanoi - Da Nang, 2 trains Hanoi - Dong Hoi, 2 trains Hanoi - Vinh.

Short train routes to Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Vinh and long routes to Dong Hoi, Dong Ha, Hue, Da Nang are all in the same situation of "sold out tickets".

Mr. Hoang Gia Khanh, General Director of VNR, was also a passenger on train SE3 departing from Hanoi station on the evening of August 30 to return home for the holiday.

On the occasion of National Day this year, the number of train passengers increased by about 10% compared to the same period last year.
