On the evening of July 28, Quang Nam Club responded to VPF with an official dispatch confirming its registration to participate in Vietnam's professional football tournaments for the 2025/26 season.
The official dispatch of Quang Nam Club stated: "Up to now, with the attention of relevant levels, Quang Nam Football Club has negotiated and reached an agreement with a number of investors with sufficient financial resources and enthusiasm to continue operating, helping the team not only maintain sustainability but also develop in the following seasons.
Currently, due to the process of completing the documents for the parties to officially sign, the Company will submit a feasible plan for your agency to consider and decide before 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2025.
With this announcement, Quang Nam Club will continue to participate in the 2025/26 season instead of dissolving and merging intoSHB Da Nang Club as previously reported.
Thus, next season's V-League will still have 14 teams, which means that the VFF's plan to choose Binh Phuoc Club (ranked 2nd in the 2024/25 First Division) to replace Quang Nam's spot will not come true.
