The unseeded group includes Abu Dhabi Country Club (UAE), Bam Khatoon (Iran), Wuhan Jiangda (China), Taichung Blue Whale (Taiwan).
Huynh Nhu (9) is the brightest star of Ho Chi Minh City Club in the group stage.
The four quarter-final pairings will be determined by a draw. The rules of the draw: seeded teams meet unseeded teams, two teams that have been in the same group cannot meet again in the quarter-finals.
In the group stage, Ho Chi Minh City FC was in the same group with Taichung Blue Whale FC. Therefore, Ho Chi Minh City FC's opponent in the quarter-finals will be one of three teams: Abu Dhabi Country Club (UAE), Bam Khatoon (Iran) or Wuhan Jiangda (China).
