At the end of the session, VN-Index increased by 1.47 points (+0.09%) to 1,666.52 points with 96 stocks increasing and 191 stocks decreasing. Total trading volume reached more than 332 million units, worth VND9,855 billion, down 10.9% in volume and 12.6% in value compared to yesterday morning's session. Of which, negotiated transactions contributed nearly 18.2 million units, worth VND867.8 billion.
The VN30 group also decreased in height when closing the session up nearly 6 points, with 15 codes increasing and 12 codes decreasing. Of which, the banking pair MBB and LPB increased the best, reaching 2.5%; while VIC was the code with the largest contribution of 3.4 points to the general index and closed the session up 2.2%.
On the contrary, another Vingroup stock, VHM, increased pressure on the market, closing down 2.1% to the lowest price of VND99,100/share and taking away approximately 2 points from the general index. In the group of small and medium-sized stocks, the pair BCG - TCD continued to be sold off heavily, in which BCG had a surplus of over 24.75 million units sold at the floor, while TCD had a surplus of 6.15 million units sold at the floor.
In terms of industry groups, no group fluctuated too much due to the divergence. In particular, the main support at the beginning of the morning session was the banking sector, which gained momentum slightly when many codes reversed and decreased. Specifically, VPB, EIB,SHB , VIB, TPB, CTG, STB all closed the session in red, while MBB remained positive when it increased by 2.5% to VND 27,050/share, TCB only increased slightly by 0.4%, MSB increased by 1.5%... However, this was still the most active trading group in the market, with SHB leading the liquidity with 29.56 million matched units; MBB matched more than 28 million units, VPB matched 14.24 million units...
Real estate stocks edged up slightly above the reference level, while securities stocks slightly decreased due to the dominance of red such as SSI, VIX, CTS, VDS...
On the HNX floor, the market also traded less actively in the second half of the morning session and the HNX-Index reversed, widening the decline range.
At the end of the session, HNX-Index decreased by 1.27 points to 271.95 points with 39 stocks increasing and 64 stocks decreasing. Total trading volume reached 27.14 million units, worth 486 billion VND, of which negotiated transactions contributed 0.3 million units, worth 2.95 billion VND. Of which, NRC increased by 1.5% to 6,900 VND/share with liquidity leading the market, reaching 5.75 million units.
Other stocks in the top 5 leading liquidity codes all reversed and decreased. Specifically, SHS decreased by 0.8% and matched nearly 4.9 million units, CEO decreased by 1.9% and matched 3 million units, MBS decreased by 1.7% and matched 1.67 million units, MST decreased by 1.8% and matched 1.16 million units.
At the end of the morning session, UPCoM-Index increased by 0.37 points to 110.16 points with 95 stocks increasing and 70 stocks decreasing. Total trading volume reached 11.88 million units, worth 169 billion VND, mainly order matching transactions.
The pair of bank stocks ABB and BVB were the focus of UPCoM trading. Of which, ABB closed the session up 0.8% and traded 2.78 million units; while BVB increased 1.4% and traded nearly 1 million units.
