Da Nang has appraised and granted construction permits to 85 projects with a total investment of more than 61,000 billion VND.

DNO - On November 1, the Department of Construction held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnam Urban Day (November 8) and a discussion on the current situation, proposed solutions and directions in urban management coordination in Da Nang city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Construction Phung Phu Phong said that in 2024, the city achieved many outstanding achievements, demonstrating its determination and efforts in implementing socio-economic development goals and administrative reform. In particular, the Department of Construction has had remarkable achievements in construction appraisal and licensing.

Since the beginning of 2024, the Department of Construction has appraised and licensed more than 85 projects with a total investment of more than VND 61,000 billion. Notably, 100% of projects were appraised and licensed early, of which more than 50% were completed 7-10 days ahead of schedule. Large projects have been implemented, making an important contribution to promoting socio-economic growth.

Planning work has achieved many positive results with the completion of 6 local adjustment projects of the General Planning of Da Nang City to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Regarding zoning plans, 11 projects have been approved, of which all 9 urban zoning plans have been approved, and technical infrastructure planning projects are expected to be approved by the end of this year.

The city's districts have made outstanding contributions to strongly improving urban infrastructure, upgrading the traffic infrastructure system, focusing on protecting the ecological environment, conserving nature and renovating beach spaces to attract tourists .

At the seminar, experts, managers, architects, etc. contributed many important ideas on urban flood prevention, urban management, landscape renovation and regeneration; ensuring water security; urban planning to respond to climate change; orientation for development of marine economy, green economy, circular economy, etc.

The leaders of the Department of Construction affirmed that sustainable urban development in Da Nang is an urgent task. The city prioritizes construction and development on the basis of focusing on depth, combined with reasonable breadth development; taking digital economy, green economy, circular economy and increasing labor productivity as orientation; taking infrastructure development, synchronous and modern administrative reform as the foundation; taking education and training, attracting high-quality human resources, creativity and application of science and technology as driving forces; taking cultural development, building civilized and ecological urban areas, maintaining natural conditions and protecting the environment as the focus.

The Department of Construction requests that departments, branches, sectors, units, localities, associations, and experts, scientists, architects, planners, etc. continue to contribute ideas in planning and construction planning management to develop both in breadth and depth, in order to create a favorable and transparent investment and business environment, contributing to the socio-economic development of Da Nang city.
