Da Nang focuses on attracting wedding tourism

With the orientation of developing high-quality tourism, following the MICE tourism promotion program, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City has issued a plan to develop wedding tourism as well as implemented a pilot program to attract wedding tourists to Da Nang from the beginning of 2024.

Immediately after issuing the plan, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City has increased the promotion of wedding tourism and the Pilot Program to attract wedding tourists to wedding event units, domestic and international tourism businesses at major tourism fairs such as: VITM Hanoi , ITE HCM, Tourism Expo Japan, SATTE India...

Representatives of the Department of Tourism had direct working sessions with major wedding event companies in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, India, and Korea to introduce the infrastructure as well as the Pilot Program to attract wedding tourists to Da Nang.

Wedding tourism attracts groups of friends, locals, organizations and accommodation with high spending levels.

In addition, the Department of Tourism successfully organized the Da Nang Wedding Tourism Development Conference 2024 on June 5, 2024; Vietnam Wedding Tourism Conference 2024 "Da Nang Wedding Tourism - Opportunities and Challenges" on June 6, 2024. Organized to welcome 2 international famtrip wedding planner groups to survey Da Nang wedding tourism in June 2024 and December 2024.

In 2024, the Department of Tourism will advise and organize about 50 domestic and international wedding events from markets such as India, Australia, Japan, Taiwan (China), Singapore, Malaysia, etc. In particular, Da Nang was chosen to host the wedding of 04 couples from the Indian elite with more than 1,200 guests and dozens of solemn ceremonies and unique, impressive activities. This is a testament to the city's attractiveness and potential in attracting this type of wedding tourism.

On December 15, 2024, the bride and groom Lavania and Kuramaguru also received a warm welcome from Da Nang City as part of the wedding tourism pilot program to Da Nang: Projecting wedding welcome messages on LED screens at the immigration area, supporting quick customs clearance of goods and luggage for the wedding ceremony.

Representatives of the Department of Tourism presented flowers, souvenirs, service experience vouchers, and blessings and thanks to the couple for choosing Da Nang as the place to record the happiest moments of their lives.
