Da Nang strives to achieve GRDP growth rate of 11%/year in the period 2026 - 2030

(Chinhphu.vn) - After nearly 3 days of urgent, serious, democratic and responsible work, the 1st Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, closed this morning (September 18).

Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet requested all cadres, party members and people of the City to urgently grasp and implement the Resolution of the 1st Congress and the Action Program to implement the Resolution, contributing to building Da Nang to be increasingly rich, beautiful, civilized, modern and humane.

The Congress passed the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 with the general goals until 2030: Strengthening the work of building and rectifying the Party and a clean and strong political system; digital government, smart cities, modern administration. Promoting democracy, revolutionary traditions, cultural identity and the strength of great national unity. Effectively implementing specific mechanisms and policies, promoting private economic development, maximizing investment resources, making the City a growth pole of Vietnam; a pioneering locality in developing science, technology, innovative startups and digital transformation; a center of culture - sports, education - training, high-quality healthcare, an attractive destination of the world. Maintaining national defense, political security, social order and safety and sovereignty over borders and islands. Strengthening foreign affairs and international cooperation. Building a modern city with rich identity, humane Da Nang people, high quality of life, together with the whole country entering the era of national growth.

Vision to 2045: Building Da Nang city into an ecological and smart urban area, a free trade center, an international financial center, an industrial center, logistics, innovative startups and a livable, world-class tourist city in Asia.

Some key targets by 2030: The annual rate of new party members admitted during the 2025 - 2030 term strives to reach 3-4% of the total number of party members; annually, over 90% of grassroots party organizations and party members are evaluated and classified as having completed their tasks well or better. 100% of wards and communes achieve a comprehensively strong base in terms of national defense and security.

The growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the period of 2026 - 2030 will reach an average of 11%/year or more. The average GRDP per capita will reach 8,500 USD/person. Development investment capital in the area at current prices in the period of 2026 - 2030 will reach more than 660 trillion VND, an average increase of 14-15%/year. State budget revenue in the area will increase by at least 10%/year...

The Resolution also identifies three breakthrough tasks: Effectively implementing specific mechanisms and policies; removing difficulties and obstacles, strongly developing the private economy, mobilizing investment resources to develop infrastructure, promoting rapid and sustainable growth; developing science, technology, innovation, digital transformation associated with developing high-quality human resources, creating strong changes in productivity, quality and efficiency in all fields; building a modern Da Nang city, rich in identity, humane people, with a high quality of life, especially improving the quality of life of people in mountainous areas.

The 1st Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, closed on the morning of September 18.

In his closing speech at the Congress, Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, emphasized: The Congress took place in a context of special significance, after nearly three decades of separation, Da Nang City and the former Quang Nam Province reunited under the administrative unit arrangement policy. This important event not only marked a turning point in the development process, but also opened a new term with an enhanced stature and position.

With a democratic, straightforward and highly responsible spirit, the delegates promoted collective intelligence, discussed enthusiastically and contributed many profound and quality opinions. Many presentations were carefully prepared, focusing on clarifying key and central tasks and proposing, contributing ideas and effective solutions for the coming term.

On that basis, the Congress unanimously approved: Political Report, Report on reviewing the leadership and direction of the City Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term; at the same time, contributed many enthusiastic opinions to the draft Resolution, Action Program to implement the Congress Resolution. The Congress unanimously approved the Report synthesizing comments of the City Party Committee on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

According to Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, the first-term City Party Committee and the Da Nang City Delegation to attend the 14th National Party Congress were appointed by the Politburo in accordance with strict principles and procedures, fully meeting the requirements on structure, political standards, leadership capacity and prestige, demonstrating the Central's trust, appreciation and deep expectations for the City Party Committee. The first-term City Party Committee is a united collective, representing intelligence, mettle and the spirit of innovation; are cadres who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, act decisively for the common development, representing the will, belief and strong aspiration to rise of the entire Party Committee and people of the City.

The Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee suggested that, immediately after the Congress, each Party Committee, Party organization, each cadre, Party member and each citizen should urgently grasp and widely propagate the Resolution of the 1st City Party Congress and the Action Program to implement the Resolution; promptly put the Resolution into life with specific and practical actions; create clear, comprehensive and synchronous changes in all areas of political, economic, cultural and social life, contributing to building Da Nang to be increasingly rich, beautiful, civilized, modern and humane.
