Responding to parents' questions about medical school admissions this year, Mr. Tung said that in 2025, Hanoi Medical University will enroll students according to 5 groups, including B00 (math, chemistry, biology), B08 (math, biology, English), C00 (literature, history, geography), D01 (math, literature, English), A00 (math, physics, chemistry).
Of which, block C00 is only used in Psychology, B08 is applied to Public Health . These two majors also consider both B00 and D01 combinations. Some bachelor's majors use both A00 and B00 combinations; the four majors of Medicine, Traditional Medicine, Dentistry, and Preventive Medicine only consider block B00.

According to Mr. Tung, the industries in the upper group usually have a benchmark score of more than 28, so there will not be many fluctuations. The industries in the lower group may decrease, and the lower the benchmark score last year, the greater the decrease.
According to Mr. Tung, candidates should be calm, because "the chance of admission is still divided equally" among them.
In 2025, Hanoi Medical University will have 5 admission combinations instead of 3 as in 2024.
The school has 1,910 quotas divided into 19 training majors. Nearly 1/5 of these quotas, equivalent to 400, are for the medical major.
The least recruiting major is Dental Prosthetics with 50 quotas.
Notably, this year, for the first time, Hanoi Medical University considered the A00 block combination (math, physics, chemistry) and applied it to 12 training majors, including Nursing, Rehabilitation Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Medical Testing Technology, Midwifery, Nutrition, Social Work...
A new combination appearing for the second time (first time is the 2024 admission season) at the school is B08 (math, biology, English), applied to two majors: Social Work and Public Health.

Regarding admission methods, Hanoi Medical University maintains two stable methods: direct admission of national excellent students according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , and consideration of high school graduation exam results.
Hanoi Medical University will add exam scores for candidates with IELTS from 5.5 and directly admit candidates who won third prize in national excellent student competitions in subjects suitable for their major.
Specifically, Hanoi Medical University has 2 types of bonus points including bonus points for priority candidates and bonus points for candidates with international language certificates.
The total score is a maximum of 3 points and will be added to the total score of 3 exams/subjects in the 2025 high school graduation exam for admission consideration.
In which, the school applies regional priority and policy priority according to the 2025 Enrollment Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Bonus points for international language certificates, the school adds IELTS certificate points from 5.5 or higher.
