The 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Defense Command of Region 1, Yen Minh

On the morning of July 17, the Party Committee of the Yen Minh Region 1 Defense Command held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Attending the meeting were Colonel Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Commander of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Military Command; leaders of 23 communes in the defense area and 88 delegates representing over 100 Party members of the Party Committee.

Delegates voted to pass the Congress Resolution.

The Party Committee of the Yen Minh Region 1 Defense Command was established on the basis of merging the Military Party Committees of the districts: Dong Van, Meo Vac, Yen Minh, Quan Ba ​​(old Ha Giang province). In the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee has united, unified, focused on leading and directing the implementation of tasks, excellently completing the targets. Outstandingly, proactively advising the Party Committee and the government to comprehensively lead and direct military and defense tasks, strengthening the potential in the defense area. At the same time, coordinating with other forces to grasp and forecast the situation correctly, promptly handling situations; actively taking the lead in preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and epidemics.

During the term, the quality of training, drills, competitions, sports, and building a strong and comprehensive "Exemplary and Typical" unit achieved many positive results. Good logistics, technical and financial work was ensured; leadership capacity, fighting strength, and political mettle of Party committees and organizations at all levels were maintained. Mass mobilization work was well implemented, the movement "The Army joins hands to build a new countryside" was actively implemented, and the people's hearts were consolidated...

In the 2025-2030 term, thoroughly implementing the motto "Democracy, solidarity, discipline, innovation", the Party Committee of the Yen Minh Region 1 Defense Command sets the goal of well implementing the policies and guidelines of the Party, State, and Army on national defense, military, and Fatherland protection tasks in the new situation; building a strong Party Committee in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization, cadres, and a lean, compact, and strong armed force. The Party Committee identifies two breakthroughs: Creating a steady change in law enforcement and discipline and improving the qualifications and capacity of cadres at all levels.

In the spirit of concentration and intelligence, the Congress discussed the following contents: Building a strong defense zone; making breakthroughs in improving the qualifications of cadres; digital transformation to meet requirements in the new situation; and passing the Congress Resolution.
