Ho Chi Minh City opens New Student Festival 2025

On September 27, at the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House, the 2025 New Student Festival opened, attracting more than 20,000 students to participate. The event was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, on a city-wide scale with 38 diverse activities taking place over two days.

According to the Organizing Committee, the festival is the largest annual event, on a city-wide scale, aiming to provide new students with a useful, dynamic playground with many opportunities for exchange and experience.

This year, the festival featured 6 sports activities such as Cross Country Race, Chinese Chess Tournament, E-sports, physical fitness test and for the first time, Zumba Festival with the theme “Move U”. In addition, students also experienced 9 cultural and creative activities including folk games, calligraphy, book exchange, VR-AR technology, perfume extraction, environmental protection solutions...

The vibrant atmosphere was also reflected in the exhibition “Ho Chi Minh City Students – Beautiful Stories”, displaying traditional musical instruments and national costumes. In the academic and skills areas, 8 talk shows, workshops and student forums revolving around integration, startups, artificial intelligence applications, and legal and traffic safety topics attracted a large number of students to participate.
