Ho Chi Minh City opens New Student Festival 2025

On September 27, at the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural House, the 2025 New Student Festival opened, attracting more than 20,000 students to participate. The event was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, on a city-wide scale with 38 diverse activities taking place over two days.

According to the Organizing Committee, the festival is the largest annual event, on a city-wide scale, aiming to provide new students with a useful, dynamic playground with many opportunities for exchange and experience.

The 2025 Freshman Welcome Program is a large-scale annual event with many exciting activities.

This year, the festival featured 6 sports activities such as Cross Country Race, Chinese Chess Tournament, E-sports, physical fitness test and for the first time, Zumba Festival with the theme “Move U”. In addition, students also experienced 9 cultural and creative activities including folk games, calligraphy, book exchange, VR-AR technology, perfume extraction, environmental protection solutions...

The opening activity is the cross-country race for Ho Chi Minh City students to compete for the "If you fall, I lift you up" cup.

Although it was raining, the race atmosphere was still very exciting, attracting the participation of many student athletes.

The vibrant atmosphere was also reflected in the exhibition “Ho Chi Minh City Students – Beautiful Stories”, displaying traditional musical instruments and national costumes. In the academic and skills areas, 8 talk shows, workshops and student forums revolving around integration, startups, artificial intelligence applications, and legal and traffic safety topics attracted a large number of students to participate.

Traditional cultural activities such as calligraphy and bamboo dancing also attract a large number of students.

The Organizing Committee awarded more than 20,000 gifts including English scholarships, study tools, computer components and necessities, providing practical support for students entering the new school year.

The book festival offers many discount promotions for students from all over the provinces coming to Ho Chi Minh City to enroll.
