Dak Lak determined to innovate and create breakthroughs to complete the 8% growth target

At the summary conference on July 11, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee announced that GRDP in the first 6 months of the year grew by 7.14%, showing positive signs of recovery after the merger. The province is determined to innovate and create breakthroughs to complete the growth target of 8%.

At the conference to review the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of 2025 held on July 11, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province said that the economic growth rate (GRDP) is estimated at 7.14%. This is the first conference to review after the merger between Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces (old).

The province's key economic sectors all recorded good growth. Specifically, the industrial and construction sector increased by 10.12%; services increased by 7.59%; and agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 5.16%.

Many other economic indicators also achieved impressive results. Total state budget revenue in the area reached more than VND 8,718 billion, up 32% over the same period in 2024. Total social investment capital is estimated at VND 28,643 billion, up 9.34%. Notably, total export turnover is estimated at nearly USD 1.5 billion, up 37.16% over the same period.

Business activities have improved with 1,476 newly established enterprises, up 53.6% over the previous year. The province has also approved investment policies for 19 projects with a total capital of over VND9,689 billion.

Directing at the conference, Dak Lak Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung emphasized the need to strongly innovate leadership and management methods. He required cadres to "dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility", and resolutely replace those who are not capable enough to create a breakthrough for the province's development.

Concluding the conference, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan said that the last 6 months of the year is a period of "acceleration and breakthrough". To achieve the annual growth target of 8%, the growth rate in the second half of the year needs to reach 8.64%.

Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan requested units to urgently stabilize the organization after the arrangement, clearly assigning tasks to people and tasks. Mr. Ta Anh Tuan especially emphasized: "For 102 communes and wards when implementing the 2-level government model, the local Party Committee and government must be really close to the people, and immediately handle the issues that the people are concerned about and urgent."
