Investing 12.98 billion VND to urgently repair provincial road 294B that collapsed due to storms and rains

BAC NINH - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued a decision to declare an emergency situation and an order to build urgent works to repair and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, ensuring traffic on provincial road 294B, from Km10 - Km42 passing through the communes of Tam Tien, Xuan Luong, and Quang Trung.

The decision stated that due to the impact of heavy rains from June 20 to June 23; from July 3 to July 13 and from July 21 to July 22 this year, the positive slope on Provincial Road 294B in the communes of Tam Tien, Xuan Luong, Quang Trung, section Km10-Km42, had collapsed. This situation greatly affected the safety of the construction and traffic safety of vehicles traveling on the route.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committees of the communes: Tam Tien, Xuan Luong, Quang Trung to organize site clearance, hand over to the Management Board of Traffic and Agriculture Project of Bac Ninh Province No. 1 (the unit managing and implementing the construction of emergency works) to organize emergency handling of the incident.

Focus on implementing measures to ensure people's safety in natural disaster situations; warn, monitor, guide and proactively restrict or prohibit people and vehicles from entering dangerous areas.

The Management Board of Bac Ninh Province's Traffic and Agriculture Project No. 1 regularly updates reports on the handling situation and progress of troubleshooting; immediately deploys measures to ensure traffic safety, overcome traffic disruptions, and ensure smooth traffic to serve the people. At the same time, coordinates with the People's Committees of the above communes to organize site clearance to promptly handle incidents.

The tasks and requirements for the project are to organize the construction of clearing the landslide area and digging and treating the positive slope that is at risk of further landslides; repairing the damaged road surface, and adding a traffic safety system if necessary. At the same time, cutting the floor, digging and expanding the slope to ensure technical standards, and completing the stairway system.

Investment cost of 12.98 billion VND from the provincial budget reserve in 2025; expected completion time before November 30 this year.

The Bac Ninh Provincial Traffic and Agriculture Project Management Board No. 1 proactively coordinates with departments, branches and localities to organize the implementation of investment management work for the above-mentioned emergency construction project to ensure quality, progress, savings, no loss and compliance with legal regulations.
