The Ministry of Public Security (Ministry of Public Security) has issued a draft and illustrating plan for the 2025 competency assessment exam with many new points.

This structure is different from previous years, when candidates were given the choice of one of two exam codes: CA1 or CA2. The multiple choice part of the two codes is the same, testing knowledge of natural sciences , social sciences and foreign languages. The essay part of CA1 is Math, and CA2 is Literature.
The test consists of three parts: compulsory essay, compulsory multiple choice and optional multiple choice. Candidates take the test in 180 minutes in written form, the total score of the test is 100.
The required essay section includes one social argument question with a maximum total score of 25.
The mandatory multiple choice section includes 35 Math questions (35 points), 10 History questions (10 points), and 20 Foreign Language questions (15 points).
The multiple choice test has 15 questions (15 points). Candidates choose one of the following subjects: Physics (CA1), Chemistry (CA2), Biology (CA3), Geography (CA4).
70% of the knowledge in the two multiple choice sections is at the 12th grade level, the rest is at the 10th and 11th grade level. Questions at the recognition and comprehension level account for 30%, application level account for 50%, and the rest are high-level applications.
From 2022, the Ministry of Public Security will organize an assessment exam combined with high school graduation exam scores to enroll students in schools in the police sector. The scoring formula of previous years is as follows:
Admission score = Total score of three graduation exam subjects *2/5 + Assessment score *3/5 + Priority score according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training + Bonus points for excellent students at the national level. Last year, 8 police schools recruited 2,150 students but there were 18,000 candidates taking the exam. The highest standard score according to the above formula is 25.52.
