Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) has just officially announced the benchmark scores for all regular university training programs according to 4 methods: Admission based on 2025 high school graduation exam scores; Admission based on the average score of 3 subjects in grade 12; Admission based on the average score of the entire grade 12; Admission based on the results of the 2025 Competency Assessment Exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University or the 2025 VSAT exam.
Standard score for each industry: 15 - 21 points
For the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the benchmark score ranges from 15 to 19 points depending on the major. In which, the benchmark score for Pharmacy is 19 points, Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology are 17 points, all other majors have a benchmark score of 15 points.
For the admission method based on high school transcripts, the standard score for Pharmacy is 21 points, Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology is 19 points; all other majors are 18 points.
For the admission method based on the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's 2025 General Admission Test scores, the benchmark is 700 points for Pharmacy; 650 points for Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology; and 600 points for the remaining majors. For the admission method based on the VSAT 2025 exam scores, the benchmark is 275 points for Pharmacy; 250 points for Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology; and 225 points for all other majors.
The standard scores for admission methods of each specific industry are as follows:
Candidates' admission scores are calculated according to the following methods with the following priority order:
Admission method based on 2025 high school graduation exam scores: Admission score = Total high school graduation exam scores of 3 subjects in the admission group + Total converted priority scores.
Method of considering 12th grade transcripts based on a combination of 3 subjects: Admission score = (Grade 12 average score of subject 1 + Grade 12 average score of subject 2 + Grade 12 average score of subject 3) + Total converted priority score.
Method of considering the entire 12th grade transcript: Admission score = Average score of the entire 12th grade year x 3 + Total converted priority points.
Admission method based on the 2025 National University of Ho Chi Minh City's National High School Exam scores or the 2025 VSAT exam: Admission score = Total score of the National High School Exam/VSAT + Total converted priority score.
Each candidate can be admitted to many majors, each major a candidate can be admitted by many different methods (if the total admission score is from the standard score of that method or higher).
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , after the admission application processing process on the National Admissions System, each candidate can only be admitted to a single major (placed in the highest priority position in the list of eligible admission applications) using a single method.
For majors with admission combinations including Drawing Aptitude (Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Digital Art, Film and Television Technology); Music Aptitude (Vocal Music), candidates can take the Aptitude test results from universities that organize the exam to combine admission according to the prescribed subject combinations.
For the Health Sciences group, for the 3 methods including considering transcripts based on the average score of 3 subjects in grade 12, considering transcripts based on the average score of the entire grade 12, considering the results of the 2025 Competency Assessment Exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University or the 2025 VSAT exam, in addition to the above standard score conditions, candidates need to ensure the threshold conditions to ensure input quality according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Specifically, for Pharmacy, candidates need to meet the additional condition of having a good or excellent academic record for the entire 12th grade or a high school graduation score of 8.0 points or higher; for Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology, candidates need to meet the additional condition of having a good or excellent academic record for the entire 12th grade or a high school graduation score of 6.5 points or higher.
Admitted candidates complete admission procedures from August 23 to August 30.
All successful candidates must confirm their admission online on the Ministry of Education and Training's system before 5:00 p.m. on August 30. After this deadline, candidates will be considered to have refused admission.
From August 23 to August 30, successful candidates will complete admission procedures (including Saturdays and Sundays) at Dien Bien Phu Headquarters (Sai Gon Campus) - 475A Dien Bien Phu, Thanh My Tay Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Candidates can also combine online admission confirmation on the Ministry of Education and Training's system while completing admission procedures directly at the School. The School will support and guide candidates in confirming admission.
5 million VND discount for the first 1,000 students enrolled

Also according to the announcement of HUTECH Admissions Council, the school plans to consider 2 additional admission methods based on transcripts with admission scores from the announced first round benchmark. The deadline for receiving additional applications is 5:00 p.m. on September 10.
