Computer Science industry benchmark scores 2025: "A world apart"

University of Science (Ho Chi Minh City National University) leads the benchmark score for Computer Science and AI in this year's admission season.

Accordingly, considering combination A00, the standard score for admission to Computer Science - the school's advanced program is 29.98 - just 0.02 short of the absolute standard. The standard score for combination A01 is slightly lower at 29.96.

The Artificial Intelligence industry also has a benchmark score that is close to 29.78 - considering combination A00 and 29.7 - considering combination A01.

The University of Information Technology (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) ranked second in terms of benchmark scores in this field. The school's Artificial Intelligence major required 29.6 points. However, the Computer Science and Computer Engineering majors had more moderate benchmark scores, 27.2 and 25.3 points respectively.

In third place is Hanoi University of Science and Technology . The school's Data Science and Artificial Intelligence majors scored 29.39 points. Next are Computer Science and Computer Engineering, with 29.19 and 28.83 points, respectively.

The benchmark score of 27 or higher is also at the University of Technology (Hanoi National University) . The Computer Science major of this school is 27.86 points, the Computer Engineering major takes 27 points and the Artificial Intelligence major takes 27.75 points.

The schools of Construction, National Economics , Posts and Telecommunications, Natural Sciences (Hanoi National University), International (Ho Chi Minh City National University), and Phenikaa have benchmark scores from 24 to under 27.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has its own admission method and admission score scale. This school takes 85.41/100 for Computer Science and 82.91/100 for Computer Engineering.

The remaining group of schools has a benchmark score ranging from 15 to 20.75, mainly non-public schools.
