Regulations on converting admission scores of Ton Duc Thang University Applicable to admission methods: Method 1: Admission based on high school academic results (review of transcripts); Method 2: Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; Method 3: Admission based on the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment test.

How to calculate the standard scores for admission combinations based on high school graduation exam scores
Ton Duc Thang University converts admission scores between admission groups using the 2025 high school graduation exam scores. The conversion is based on the score distribution of high school graduation exam subjects in 2025, the score distribution of some traditional groups according to the 2025 high school graduation exam results, the percentile of total scores of some traditional groups according to the calibrated high school graduation exam results, and the scores of the school's aptitude test subjects. In addition, the school also bases on the specific requirements of the training industry as well as references to statistics and evaluation of learning outcomes in previous years.
Accordingly, each industry has an original admission combination as the basis for determining the admission score. The remaining admission combinations will have their scores converted based on the difference compared to the original combination of the same industry.
For example, the admission score for a major according to the original combination D01 (math-literature-English) according to the method of considering high school graduation exam scores is 31 points (40-point scale). In the same major, combination D11 (literature-physics-English) with the same method has a prescribed difference of 0.5 points, then the corresponding admission score of combination D11 is calculated as follows: Admission score for combination D11 = 31 + 0.5 = 31.5 points (40-point scale).
The specific difference for each combination is specified HERE .
How to calculate the benchmark score for the competency assessment test
Ton Duc Thang University converts admission scores and input thresholds according to method 3, considering scores of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam, to method 2, considering scores of the high school graduation exam.
In addition to the general basis, this conversion is also based on the percentile of the results of the capacity assessment test of Ho Chi Minh City National University. The school sets up a corresponding conversion table between the results of the capacity assessment test (1,200-point scale) and the scores of the original combinations according to the method of considering high school graduation exam scores (40-point scale). Determining the admission score or input threshold according to the capacity assessment test method is done by linear interpolation method.
For example, 1,000 points in the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment test is equivalent to 37.31 points in the high school graduation exam on a 40-point scale (math-literature-English combination, English subject multiplied by 2); equivalent to 36.87 points (math-literature-English combination, literature subject multiplied by a coefficient of 2).
The conversion framework for admission scores based on the method of considering the scores of the competency assessment test and the method of considering the scores of the high school graduation exam is specifically as follows:
How to calculate admission score based on high school academic results
The school also built a framework for converting admission scores and input thresholds from the method of considering high school learning results to the method of considering high school graduation exam scores. This conversion method is based on the score distribution of high school graduation exam subjects in 2025, statistical data on the correlation between high school graduation exam scores and the average score of corresponding subjects in high school.
Determining the admission score or the entrance threshold is also done by linear interpolation. For example, with the same combination D01 (math-literature-English) calculated on a 40-point scale (multiplied by the coefficient of 2 English subjects), the conversion result shows that 20 points in the high school graduation exam is equivalent to 24 points based on high school learning results.
Conversion table of admission scores and input thresholds from method 1 to method 2, list of majors and admission combinations with deviations of combinations, specific input thresholds for method 1, see HERE .
In addition, Ton Duc Thang University also converts the admission score and the entrance threshold between the original admission combination and other admission combinations based on the method of considering high school academic results. Specifically, the school determines the difference in admission scores between other admission combinations and the original admission combination of each major. For example, the admission score according to the original admission combination D01 (math-literature-English, English subject multiplied by a coefficient of 2) based on the method of considering academic records is 34 points (40-point scale); then the admission combination D11 (math-physics-English) has a difference of 0.25 points compared to D01. Then, the admission score of combination D11 = 34 + 0.25 = 34.25 points.
