Check out 15 places to watch fireworks on New Year's Eve in Ho Chi Minh City

(NLDO) - The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued an official dispatch directing the organization of fireworks displays to welcome the New Year's Eve of the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025.

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City will set off fireworks at 15 locations throughout the city.

Of which, 2 high-altitude fireworks display points are at the Saigon River tunnel, Thu Duc City and Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Area, Cu Chi District.

13 low-altitude shooting locations include: Thao Dien urban area, Thu Duc city; Rach Dia bridge area, Nha Be district; Saigon river area, near Rach Chiec bridge, Thu Duc city (shooting on barges); Dam Sen cultural park, district 11; Ben Noc memorial temple, Thu Duc city.

For the first time, Ho Chi Minh City will set off fireworks at 15 locations during the Lunar New Year.

In addition, there are the following locations: Memorial Site of the 1968 Tet Offensive and Uprising, Binh Chanh District; Tay Bac Industrial Park, Cu Chi District; Memorial Temple of Rung Sac Martyrs, Can Gio District; Square of District 7 Administrative Center; 38-hectare Residential Park, Tan Thoi Nhat Ward, District 12; Hoa Binh Square, Go Vap District; Memorial Site of Nga Ba Giong Martyrs, Hoc Mon District; Binh Dien Market Area, District 8.

Fireworks display will last for 15 minutes, from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 29 (January 1, Year of the Snake), funded by socialized sources.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the City Command to preside over and contact the Ministry of National Defense 's Chemical Company 21 to purchase fireworks, ensure artillery shells for implementation; and settle expenses according to regulations.

At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports , localities and relevant units to unify and ensure funding for fireworks display.

Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinated with the City Command to ensure security and safety during the transportation of fireworks, fireworks locations and areas where people gathered to watch fireworks; arranged canoes and forces on duty at the shooting locations along the Saigon River to be ready to handle situations when ordered.

Coordinate with the Department of Transport to organize traffic diversion in areas where people gather to watch fireworks; clear moorings and temporarily suspend all activities of waterway vehicles in the area surrounding the fireworks display points along the Saigon River from 11:30 p.m. on January 28 to 1:00 a.m. on January 29.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested leaders of departments, branches and localities to ensure security, order and traffic safety, creating the best conditions for people to watch fireworks.
