The Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS) has just sent a notice to businesses about the suspected fraud in exporting cashew nuts to Dubai.

Recently, VINACAS received a petition from Tin Mai Company (a VINACAS member) regarding the company signing a contract to sell cashew nuts to a partner located in Dubai (direct transaction person: Mr. Naeem Chaudhry, Mob/Whatsapp: +971 58 600 1304, email: naeem@barft.com). Accordingly, after the customer paid 15% of the money, the company delivered the goods and on June 24, the goods arrived at Jebel Ali port, UAE. After that, the goods were picked up and returned in empty containers on June 27, but Tin Mai Company has not yet been paid the remaining 85%.

The Vietnam Pepper Association also added that, in addition to Tin Mai Company (cashew exporter), at least two other pepper and spice exporting enterprises are also facing a similar situation with the same customer.

Mr. Tran Huu Hau, Deputy General Secretary of VINACAS, said that VINACAS will coordinate with the Vietnam Pepper Association to organize a meeting with businesses to fully grasp the information, from which to officially propose competent authorities of Vietnam and the UAE to consider and support businesses in resolving the case.
