A total of 450 delegates attended the congress, of which 65 were ex-officio delegates (current members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee), the rest were appointed delegates.

According to the political report of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee presented at the congress, in the 2020-2025 term, the work of building the Party and the political system achieved many important results, contributing to improving the Party's comprehensive leadership capacity. Every year, 94.71% of grassroots party organizations and 94.95% of party members complete their tasks well or better.

In terms of economy , the growth rate of the province in the period of 2020 - 2025 will reach 7.11%/year. By 2025, the total product in the province will reach 694,457 billion VND, GRDP per capita will reach 153.7 million VND/person.

What's new in Dong Nai province?

The congress report also said that the new Dong Nai province (after merging Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc) has an area of ​​12,737.18 km², with a population of about 4.5 million people. The province has 95 commune-level administrative units, including 72 communes and 23 wards. The provincial Party Committee has 99 subordinate Party Committees with 131,989 Party members, and is a locality with cultural, historical, ethnic and religious diversity (with 37 ethnic minorities and 10 religions).
