Groundbreaking ceremony for nearly 1,500 billion VND road connecting Long Thanh airport

The Provincial Road 25B upgrade project will directly connect Nhon Trach urban area with Long Thanh airport via National Highway 51 and T1 route.

On January 9, the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to upgrade Provincial Road 25B, from the center of Nhon Trach district to National Highway 51.

The Provincial Road 25B upgrade project is over 9.2km long, passing through Nhon Trach and Long Thanh districts. The starting point is at Km0+000 intersecting with National Highway 51 (Long Thanh district), the ending point is at Km9+290 (Nhon Trach district center).

The cross-section of the completed route is 80m, with a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND. According to the plan, the project will be basically completed in 2025 and put into operation synchronously from 2026.

According to the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, Provincial Road 25B is an important road, gradually completing its infrastructure, contributing to socio-economic development according to the general planning orientation of the new urban area of ​​Nhon Trach.

In particular, through National Highway 51, Provincial Road 25B directly connects Nhon Trach urban area with Long Thanh airport, expected to be put into operation in 2026.

In the Long Thanh airport project planning, two connecting roads T1 and T2 play a role in connecting the main traffic axes in the area with the airport. In which T1 will connect with National Highway 51 and two provincial roads 25B, 25C.

Then continue to connect with Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 which are being invested in construction, creating more traffic connections for Long Thanh airport.

From there, it plays a role in connecting Long Thanh airport with Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in the region. At the same time, it will share traffic pressure for the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway and National Highway 51.

In early January 2024, the People's Committee of Nhon Trach district (Dong Nai province) started construction of 3 traffic projects including phase 1 of 25C road (section 2), Ton Duc Thang road (25B road) and extended Le Hong Phong road.

The total investment capital of the 3 projects is over 2,000 billion VND. When completed, it will connect important roads in the area such as Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, the road to Phuoc An Port and especially Long Thanh Airport.
