Phuong My Chi and DTAP share the same vision of introducing Vietnamese cultural identity.

At the Vietnam Station of the Sing!Asia program, Phuong My Chi surprised the audience and international judges with a performance imbued with national identity - "Buon trang" is not only a competition, but also the beginning of a journey to bring Vietnamese culture closer to international friends.

And in this journey, DTAP and Phuong My Chi chose not to stray from their cultural identity, but instead used Binh Dinh's unique singing voice to tell stories, traditional musical instruments combined with martial arts to connect as an affirmation that wherever they go, they are Vietnamese, carrying Vietnamese cultural identity.

As young people growing up in the modern music industry, DTAP and Phuong My Chi affirm that: if they want to go further, they must remember their roots.

Therefore, right from the beginning, there must be a clear direction in bringing Vietnamese culture to the international community, not by shouting, but by telling stories that we truly understand and truly appreciate.

From the material of Binh Dinh opera to the traditional breath of Quy Nhon land through the image of the moon boat - all are preserved in the song.

Music is not only remixed to suit the international stage, but also retains the spirit of traditional music through modern, powerful and emotional accents. For DTAP, making music is not only about creativity, making music is also about preserving identity - so that tradition is not only passed down through word of mouth or through books.

Modern music with Vietnamese cultural identity has always been the guiding principle for DTAP's journey for the past 6 years. Working together to orient and develop music with Phuong My Chi - a prominent representative of folk music - is an opportunity for us to continue spreading traditional values through a contemporary lens, and bring it to international friends.

In the collaborations, both sides maintain the spirit of preserving their roots, while at the same time seeking new and suitable directions to bring traditional music closer to international friends.

"Chi's journey has just begun and DTAP really hopes to bring many forms of cultural and artistic art as well as the origins of our nation to international audiences and friends to see that Vietnamese folk music is very rich, very good and very interesting."

For Sing!Asia, this is truly a good opportunity for Vietnamese music to speak out on the international stage. We strive to incorporate the characteristics of traditional music into the two works "Buon Trang" and "Rock Hat Gao", while still ensuring selectivity, to blend with modern elements, approaching global tastes so that the songs are easily accessible and spread better. Thanks to the previous understanding, the implementation process of DTAP and Phuong My Chi did not encounter many obstacles.

Every journey is not easy but all can be overcome with determination.

Behind the success of "Buon trang" and "Rock hat gao" cannot fail to mention the strategic planning and orientation role of the management company VMAS - a professional artist development management unit that is accompanying both DTAP and Phuong My Chi. With experience in developing artists associated with cultural identity, VMAS is the bridge connecting artists to Vietnamese culture.

DTAP's success is not only due to her composing ability but also her long-term companionship with VMAS. Besides, the girl who once "sang folk songs" has now chosen a new direction that is suitable for the times but does not lose her identity.

At VMAS, Phuong My Chi has shown her maturity in her musical thinking and image building. The image of a young singer wearing a traditional Vietnamese dress and a conical hat, singing on an international stage.

Phuong My Chi is the result of a thorough investment from VMAS. The producer and crew have been brainstorming ideas for many days to bring Vietnamese sounds to the international stage in a meticulous, meticulous and unique way.
