Nearly 150 teachers in Binh Chanh district received English proficiency training.

In addition to the meaning of improving English proficiency for teachers, thousands of students in Binh Chanh district will receive new teaching methods, creative content and activities from their teachers.

Recently, 147 English teachers from primary and secondary schools in Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City, along with local leaders, attended the Opening Ceremony of the English Proficiency Training Program.

In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Van Nam, Secretary of Binh Chanh District Party Committee, said: Currently, in Vietnam, students who attend international schools also learn two languages ​​in parallel. Because of this awareness, we started from the people who "planted the seeds" for the children for this second language. The training program started in 2023 with more than 60 teachers participating, and up to now, there have been 147 teachers participating. After completing the program, teachers will continue to study advanced courses.

In the future, it is hoped that with the pioneering guidance of teachers, the second language proficiency of students in the district will be raised to a higher level, helping them to be confident enough to study abroad right after graduating from high school.

English teachers in Binh Chanh district participated in discussions and professional exchanges at the event.

Sharing at the program, Ms. Vu Thi Phuong, Director of Brand & Communications of VUS - the professional unit in charge, shared that after the program, the beneficiaries will not only be the 147 teachers on the list of participating in today's training, but also hundreds and thousands of students of the teachers. They will also receive new teaching methods, creative content and activities from their teachers.

Also at the opening ceremony, teachers participated in a talk show with the topic Whole Brain Teaching: The Key to Increasing Engagement and Performance. This interesting topic revolves around the whole brain teaching method and provides practical techniques for teachers to effectively implement the 7 key strategies of this teaching method.
