Nearly 500 Nghe An students receive scholarships to overcome difficulties

On September 9 and 10, the Nghe An Provincial Children's Fund coordinated with the Zhi Shan Foundation (Taiwan) to organize the 2025 Overcoming Difficulty Scholarship Program for students with especially difficult circumstances in 21 communes in the province.

Accordingly, 495 primary, secondary and high school students received scholarships with support ranging from 600,000 to 800,000 VND/student, along with many incentives for good and excellent students, students with academic achievements and transfer students.

In addition to the scholarship, each student was also given a bag worth nearly 400,000 VND, including many books and school supplies for the new school year. The total support fund for this period is nearly 740 million VND.

In addition to the scholarship awarding activities, the program also organized many meaningful activities such as: measuring height and weight, collecting study status reports for long-term scholarship recipients, collecting drawings to print thank-you cards for sponsors, meeting and taking photos for 18 new students.

The organizing committee also guides the procedures for 12th grade students to continue receiving support when admitted to universities, colleges, and vocational schools.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Hoang Trong Thuy - Chief Representative of Zhi Shan Foundation in Vietnam emphasized: "These scholarships not only contribute to reducing difficulties for poor students but also motivate them to excel in their studies, nurture their dreams and assert themselves. Zhi Shan Foundation commits to continue to accompany Nghe An in supporting and caring for children in the coming time."

Over the years, Zhi Shan Foundation has collaborated with the Nghe An Provincial Children's Fund to implement many practical programs. Among them, the scholarship project is an outstanding activity, contributing to helping poor students confidently go to school and spreading the spirit of kindness in the community.
