Nearly 8,000 billion VND to expand the automobile mechanical industrial park in Da Nang

TPO - The Chu Lai - Truong Hai Automobile Mechanical Industrial Park (expansion) project with a scale of about 115 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 8,000 billion VND, has just officially started construction.

On the morning of August 28, Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company ( THACO ) held the groundbreaking ceremony of the Chu Lai Truong Hai Automobile Mechanical Industrial Park expansion. This is a project in a series of projects to be started and inaugurated to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Mr. Phan Thai Binh - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee - spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony.

The industrial park is planned on an area of ​​115 hectares, with a total investment of nearly VND 8,000 billion (of which VND 1,433 billion is for infrastructure construction); invested in a new generation industrial park model, green development, automation, smart, modern, integrating digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

Key investment items include factories producing new generation spare parts (manufacturing electronic circuit boards, components, smart electrical and electronic equipment; central control systems, sensor and monitoring systems; specialized communication and electronic equipment for automation equipment); Factories manufacturing and assembling mechanical - electronic and automation equipment: robots; AGV, AMR self-propelled equipment; 3D printing equipment, new generation CNC equipment, light civil aircraft, drones, fast charging stations for electric vehicles, control equipment for high-speed trains, urban trains and many other industrial and civil equipment.

All activities at the Center are carried out in a closed process from product design, material research - processing, manufacturing, assembly - quality control to packaging and transportation, meeting international standards and specific customer requirements.

Thaco started construction of the Chu Lai Truong Hai Automobile Mechanical Industrial Park expansion worth nearly 8,000 billion VND.

Mr. Phan Thai Binh - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee said that Chu Lai Industrial Park has a convenient connection with the center of Da Nang - Hoi An - Tam Ky (old), is the gateway to the East Sea, has seaport, Chu Lai airport, national highway - expressway, railway, high-speed railway. This is the foundation for the Industrial Park to expand rapidly to attract new projects, expand production, affirm the brand of the mechanical - automobile industrial center of the Central region and the whole country.

When completed and put into operation, the project will bring about spillover effects, creating space to attract new investments in the fields of mechanics - automobiles, components, industrial equipment, smart electrical - electronic equipment, supporting industries; increase production - export scale, promote Ky Ha/Chu Lai port - logistics services, actively contribute to local budget revenue; create high-quality jobs, improve labor skills through training linkage - technology transfer, promote innovation in enterprises, promote green industrial park models, circular economy...
