Rice prices continue to decrease slightly, paddy prices are high

In localities today, the amount of rice arriving is low, the prices of purchased warehouses are stable. In Sa Dec and Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the amount of rice arriving is low, some large warehouses are buying slowly or stopping buying, the price of bulk rice has decreased slightly. The price of fragrant and sticky rice is stable. In the market channel, warehouses are buying sporadically, the price of all types of rice is stable. In An Cu - Cai Be ( Tien Giang ), the amount is sporadically, sticky rice has decreased by 100 VND compared to yesterday, most of the rice is weak, few good rice.

At retail markets, rice prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Regular rice fluctuated at 17,000 - 18,000 VND/kg. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of 28,000 VND/kg. Fragrant rice is offered at high prices ranging from 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice 17,000 - 18,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice 21,500 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000 VND/kg; common white rice 17,500 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice 18,500 VND/kg; Thai Soc rice 21,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice 22,500 VND/kg.

In many localities today, transactions are slow, demand for buying and selling is low. In Soc Trang, there are few buyers, prices are low. Farmers offer to sell regularly, transactions are slow. In Tra Vinh, demand for buying rice is slower, rice prices are down, mainly buying rice that has been deposited. In Long An, there are few transactions, warehouses have stopped buying a lot, due to low demand.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today are stable compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 5% standard rice is at 509 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 477 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 405 USD/ton.
